At Carnegie Mellon University’s Energy Week, PIT was mentioned because of our impact on the region's manufacturing, engineering, and energy sectors. State Rep. Valerie Gaydos and Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato shared insights into the local efforts shaping the future of energy, including PIT’s pioneering role as the first airport in the world powered entirely by a natural gas and solar energy microgrid. Additionally, Mainspring Energy's recent decision to build a linear generator manufacturing facility next to Pittsburgh International Airport will harness the region’s expertise in this field. The future of energy is bright in Pennsylvania, and you can read more about Energy Week here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/ebgE9XBD
