A giant shift is coming and we need to be prepared. We need to know what the current options are and we need to see where the gaps are so that we can support researchers and startups that can help us fill these needs.
This is exactly what the last few days have been meeting innovators, ecosystem leaders and people all interested in working together to formulate an actionable plan.

Next was a fun dinner hosted by Catherine Laing who brought her recent travels full circle by connecting the dots between all of our mutual Canadian and Dutch friends w Adriaan van Velthoven, Dutch Deputy Consul General, and Frank van Dillen, founder of DVA Dementia Village® Associates, consultant and architect of the Hogeweyk Dementia Village.
Another big highlight was finally meeting Emile Maamary from Steadiwear Inc. IRL after years of being an advisor to my favorite tremor glove and getting to clap madly after them winning the pitch competition!!
Today, The Carter Group (Japan Market Resource Network) CEO Dominic Carter delivered an amazing keynote with so many fascinating statistics from Japan (I had no idea that people in their 70s and 80s are MUCH happier than the 50s set!!) and it was an honor to be recognized by Dominic Carter for my role in supporting them to promote AgeTech in Japan!
Finally, an annual AgeTech event wouldn’t be complete without getting to catch up with my favorite people driving real change in Canada like old friend Sabrina Boutin, executive director of envisage, Alex Mihailidis CEO of @Agewell, Annie-Kim Gilbert CEO MEDTEQ+ and of course, hear the very recognizable excitement coming from Camille Gagnon, founder of Innovitech
