We’re thrilled to share the transformation of a 40,000 sq. ft. Walmart store in Elkin, NC. This remodel and expansion elevated the store with upgraded bathrooms, a larger online grocery pickup area, a revamped pharmacy, and other enhancements that bring the space up to date. The before-and-after photos capture the significant upgrades and the attention to detail that went into revitalizing every corner of the store. The project was delivered on time and within budget, keeping the store operational throughout and ensuring minimal disruption to shoppers. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our team—led by Senior Project Manager Trey Jenkins, MBA and General Superintendent Chris Crawford, with support from Day Superintendent Frank Badia, Night Superintendent Clay Hicks, and skilled PSI tradespeople across Carpentry, Paint, Plumbing, HVAC, and Flooring divisions—the remodel and expansion was a great success. This marks our first project in Elkin, NC, and we’re proud to demonstrate how a well-executed renovation can enhance both the look and functionality of a space. The heat was on at our chili cook-off, and the flavors didn’t disappoint! From white chicken chili and spicy turkey habanero to classic beef and taco version, there were flavors for everyone to enjoy. Our team sampled the different flavors and cast their votes for the top contenders. A big shout-out to the Engagement Committee for hosting such a fun event, and congratulations to our winners! Paving the Way for the Future of Amazon's Rivian Fleet—Literally! Place Services, Inc. is excited to share the progress on our current project for Amazon's Rivian Truck Fleet in Las Vegas, Nevada, in partnership with our client, Alterra. Our team is paving the way for the future with a 150,000+ sqft brand-new asphalt pad, having already reached a significant milestone with 120,000 sqft paved. The project will also include new fencing, approaches, curbs, and landscaping, setting the stage for a fully equipped and optimized site to support Amazon’s expanding fleet. The project is well underway, with our General Construction division collaborating closely with key team members Erik Griffith Director of Construction; Matt Salas, Project Manager; and Samuel Bates, Superintendent, to keep everything progressing smoothly and within budget. At Place Services, Inc., we believe in giving back to the communities we serve—whether local or beyond. After Hurricane Helene hit Western North Carolina, PSI organized a relief effort to support those affected. Christopher Lee, with guidance from our SLT and Angela Underwood, led efforts to provide essential supplies. Our employees were able to make donations from their paycheck, and PSI also made a direct donation, directly to the The Salvation Army Western NC branch. We provided critical supplies such as water, diapers, baby formula, wipes, non-perishable food, and toiletry items. Special thanks to Nick Royal for delivering the first load, and to Allen Nipp and Daniel Gardner for taking the second round of donations to the center in Western NC. Big thanks also to Sean Stone, Brandon Evans and Felipe Quiroga for helping with the deliveries! Unfortunately, Hurricane Helene didn’t just affect the communities we serve—it also impacted our own. Our Asheville Walmart remodel site was damaged by the storm, but we’re grateful our team is safe. As we rebuild, our focus remains on helping those in need. The NEW Mavis Tire, Winder, GA is COMPLETE! The Place Services, Inc. team has officially wrapped up our first-ever ground-up build for Mavis Tire in Winder, GA – finished ahead of schedule!   The beautiful 7,100 sq. ft. facility at 380 Gainesville Hwy has already opened its doors as of last week. Huge shoutout to Colt Sosebee, Ethan Mele, Tom Perkins, and Tyler Perkins, along with our exceptional General Construction, Masonry, Carpentry, Paint, and Concrete divisions for bringing this project to life!   From the sleek interiors to the solid masonry exteriors, the facility looks incredible and is now serving customers with pride. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the results and what our team has accomplished together.   This project represents a major win—not just for Mavis Tire, but for Place Services, Inc.!
