Thank you San Joaquin County Probation for visiting our Mobile Temporary Shelter (MTS). Chief Probation Officers of California | CPOC
Probation Chief Steve Jackson and Assistant Chief Emily Hammond, accompanied by San Joaquin Supervisors Tom Patti and Paul Canepa visited the Placer County Mobile, Temporary Shelter yesterday. The purpose of this visit was to gather insight from successful programs in other regions and apply them to our own SJCARES initiative here in San Joaquin County. This trip emphasized the importance of regional collaboration in creating a pathway to permanent housing, including whole person care and accountability measures for individuals and the organizations supporting them. This ensures we are not only addressing immediate needs but also working towards long-term solutions for homelessness in our community. Thank you Chief Marshall Hopper and the Placer County Probation Department for providing us with a tour and sharing your insights to a successful program! #sjcprobation #SJCARES #sanjoaquincounty #boardofsupervisors #probation #homeless

As part of our ongoing efforts to highlight crisis services during Mental Health Matters Month, we are pleased to spotlight the Crisis Resolution Center. We are grateful for the community collaboration in supporting our youth.
As we continue to promote crisis services throughout Mental Health Matters Month, we wanted to put a quick spotlight on the Crisis Resolution Center. This is a unique public-private partnership with local nonprofit Koinonia Family Services now in its third decade, thanks to support from the Placer County Probation Department and our Children's System of Care. Last year, the CRC provided 564 days of care to 41 vulnerable youth aged 12-17 at its residential facility, with a successful youth discharge rate of over 80%.
