Pushing the Boundaries of Sustainability at IBTM World Barcelona ✨🌍 We’re excited to announce that Slovenia is setting a pioneering example in sustainable events by becoming the first destination to calculate the carbon footprint of its exhibitor stand at IBTM Events in Barcelona! 🌱 This significant milestone is made possible through our very own Planet Positive Event tool. For the first time ever, the carbon footprint of an exhibition stand will be measured and displayed live at the Slovenian stand (H90), providing attendees with a tangible example of how to create sustainable, regenerative events. Visitors will have the opportunity to actively participate by interacting with our digital screen, helping us calculate the carbon footprint of the food and drinks they consume. After the event, those who wish will receive the full carbon calculation of their contribution. 📊💚 The results of using the tool for Slovenia’s stand will be: 🟢Real-time carbon footprint calculations using the PPE carbon footprint calculator 🟢A comprehensive sustainability rating based on international standards 🟢A regenerative event rating that highlights the positive impact of the event 🟢A final action plan with recommendations for future sustainability 🟢External assessment and certification by independent sustainability experts 🟢A complete ESRS sustainability report Additionally, Gorazd Cad will present an in-depth look at the methodology at stand G12, where Ljubljana Talks will be filmed.
