Last night I had the privilege of attending the Climate Leaders’ Reception hosted by Salesforce, a wonderful gathering of some of the top innovators and solutions seekers attending #ClimateWeekNYC. It was inspiring to learn more about the five key principles driving this year’s Climate Week as shared by Climate Group’s Helen Clarkson, which have truly set the tone for this week. A massive thank you to Adam Met and Mila Rosenthal of Planet Reimagined for the invite and for the opportunity to see the great work you do put into action!

But this isn't just about awareness – it's about action. Our experience has shown that music lovers are ready to make a difference, and it’s time for artists to lead the way. It’s currently the season of outdoor music festivals. From Lollapalooza, Coachella, Outside Lands, people all around the globe are coming together to see their favourite artists perform. But with climate change and severe weather events on the rise, musicians are having to cancel more and more outdoor shows to protect their fans and crew. Major musicians such as Noah Kahan, Hozier, and Beyonce have had to cancel shows due to adverse weather conditions, and the trend only seems to be continuing. However, outdoor concerts can be made safer. By pushing for regulations and policies to keep artists and fans safe, and showing support for climate-change-related ventures like renewable energy, live music fans are a force to be reckoned with when given the chance to make an impact. And Planet Reimagined is giving them that chance. Read more in this Rolling Stone article, featuring Planet Reimagined’s Executive Director @Adam Met to see how Planet Reimagined is using concerts to mobilise music fans to take action: https://lnkd.in/dduDEGTC And read more here about the impact and difference live music fans make: https://lnkd.in/e4CWBh3J
