This week, Rice Middle School had a unique opportunity to host 10 students from Japan, thanks to a special visit from a Toyota Motor Corporation delegation! These students, whose parents work for Toyota, got to dive into American school life and share some of their own culture, from Japanese art to school traditions and celebrations. Our Rice Middle School ambassadors made sure they felt right at home! The event wrapped up with a delicious lunch, big thanks to H-E-B, Toyota Motor Corporation, and the Plano ISD Education Foundation for making it all happen! ❤️ #TeamPlanoISD

On Thursday, Plano ISD Superintendent Dr. Theresa Williams hosted the district's first Superintendent's Roundtable of the school year. Geared towards small business leaders, the meeting included a district overview and update and a robust discussion regarding how small businesses and Plano ISD can team up to prepare our future workforce. #TeamPlanoISD

Diggs is widely known for originating the dual roles of “Thomas Jefferson” and “Marquis de Lafayette” in the Broadway sensation 𝙃𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙩𝙤𝙣. 🎉 Congratulations to students Evelyn Ding (Plano West Senior High), Vishruth Ganesh (Plano Senior High School), Ayushi Savla (Plano East Senior High) and AP Biology Teacher Julia Drake (Plano West Senior High) for participating in the prestigious UT Southwestern Medical Center STARS Summer Research Program this summer! 🔬 Only 51 students were selected out of 900 applications, and we're Plano ISD proud to have three of them in the eight-week program.
