Last week, the City of Plano welcomed over 50 city planners from across Texas for a tour that showcased three major redevelopment projects—the billion-dollar overhaul of Collin Creek Mall, the transformation of Plano Market Square Mall into Assembly Park and the conversion of Texas Instruments' Spring Creek Campus into Legacy Central, a tech-centered office park. City of Plano stands out in a recent Trust for Public Land report highlighting the powerful role park investment plays in boosting our economic vitality! Here's a snippet from the report: "As Plano redevelops traditional office parks into mixed-use districts with high-quality parks and open spaces, the City is hospitable to real estate developers, employers, and employees." Plano, Texas Economic Development Director Doug McDonald says, "We need to be an active partner with our property owners to add value to our campuses and incorporate new amenities being desired by companies post-pandemic."
