About us
Your family’s food: Few things could be more important to their health and happiness. So it shouldn’t be challenging for anyone to access the foods they need and love, the foods that make a meal, and that ultimately make a home. Plentiful aims to make it easy to get what you need when access to food is limited or uncertain. Cutting wait times with reservation systems, helping people find the closest provider, ensuring that people are getting the kinds of food they need and want. We also create tools for food providers in your community so they can be most helpful to you and your family. And tools for partners to work together across the state and country to continually improve how we connect people and food. We help communities come together to ensure that those of us in need are supported in the best way possible. With efficiency and ease. With the sort of care and communication that comes when we’re all connected. That’s what it looks like when we set out to nourish body and soul. That’s what it looks like to be Plentiful.

✨ Last week, our team had the privilege of attending the Met Council's annual conference, where we shared in the inspiring work of our partners and providers. Natalie Migliore presented how Plentiful is bridging the gap between charitable food providers and the communities they serve. She’s deeply committed to ensuring every program thrives by leveraging Plentiful's powerful suite of tools to streamline operations and maximize impact. We were thrilled to celebrate Met Council's incredible achievements, including a successful year of Market by Met Council and their pioneering work in advancing the distribution of kosher and halal foods. Special thanks to Ora Kemp, MPH Kemp for her insightful talk on the vital role of support in the charitable food space. We’re excited to continue supporting Met Council’s network and are committed to strengthening the work of charitable food providers. 💪🤝

Celebrating 25 Years of Service: Spotlight on Ansar Pantry in Denver 🔦 For 25 years, Ansar Pantry has been a beacon of hope to the Metro Denver community. Every Saturday, they transform their location into a no-cost grocery store, serving about 200 individuals in person and reaching more than 900 people across those households. “I remember when we were serving 900 people a year,” said Ishaq Khan, who leads the nonprofit, highlighting the remarkable increase in need. Two years ago, Ansar started using Plentiful to streamline their operations. Before Plentiful, check-in and registration (which are important for accurate reporting) were unmanageable for their fully volunteer staff. “The majority of our users are repeat visitors, which is helpful, and many of the visitors who are new to us are not new to Plentiful, so they are already in the system,” said Zamzam Jiru, a regular and long-time volunteer at Ansar Pantry. The check-in process used to hold up the line. The visitors at Ansar speak many different languages, adding to the complexity of ensuring a smooth and efficient experience. According to Zamzam Jiru, “Before [Plentiful], we were managing by writing on a clipboard, then spending days trying to read and enter the information. It has been a lifesaver!” With Plentiful, Ansar is able to increase the number of people they can check-in, support multiple languages, and focus on offering a better experience for the community. Ansar Pantry is located at 16251 E Colfax Ave #208, Aurora, CO 80011. They offer a rotating array of fresh, frozen, and packaged food every Saturday from 9:30 am to 12 pm. Ansar’s mission is powerful: to provide free, accessible, and nutritious food to all in need, regardless of religion, race, gender, or color. Want to learn more? In the heart of Hell's Kitchen, nestled atop a century-old building, lies an unexpected oasis: a 4,000 square foot rooftop garden. This urban farm, operated by Rauschenbusch Metro Ministries, is a testament to innovative community service. 🌿 We had the pleasure of touring this remarkable space, guided by Chrisaleen Ciro, Rauschenbusch’s Food Pantry Justice Coordinator, and their dedicated team. Their mission is to provide culturally relevant produce to the local community through their food pantry. This garden’s impact was recently featured in an ABC New York article. By growing a variety of vegetables and herbs suited to various cuisines, Rauschenbusch offers community members access to nutritious options that resonate with their cultural backgrounds. This rooftop garden beautifully highlights the importance of making fresh produce accessible in food pantries 🍅. This is a great example of how Plentiful providers are making a difference in their communities. 🏔️ Big News: Plentiful Now in Colorado!🏔️ Launched in NYC in 2016 to tackle long pantry lines and promote dignity, we've since supported countless providers and community members with a variety of services. As we expand to Colorado, one of our Plentiful Providers, Bienvenidos Food Bank, exemplifies our mission. With Plentiful, Bienvenidos swiftly serves over 700 neighbors monthly, employing a client-choice model and providing crucial SNAP assistance. They also use direct messaging to keep the community informed about special assistance programs, embodying our commitment to empowering communities with both resources and information. “We have been using the Plentiful software at Bienvenidos since December of last year to check in our clients and access data about their visits. We like that Plentiful gives us access to see in real time how many individuals have checked in. We are collecting more data on our patrons which helps us to see things like what zip codes people are coming from. We look forward to leveraging this data in additional ways in the future and to hopefully use the Plentiful program to better connect with the people we serve.” - Revelry Rebel, Food Bank Manager From growing our Colorado team to prioritizing app enhancements and in-person support, we are excited to connect people with food access points near them.
