The third Thursday of every October is International ShakeOut Day. Millions of Americans are registered to participate in ShakeOut drills from their home, workplace, and schools to get better prepared for the next major earthquake event. At Palomar, we believe that preparedness is key to an effective response. As part of our commitment to better serve your community, we conducted a company-wide preparedness drill. This exercise helped us assess and enhance our response strategies, ensuring that we are ready to meet your clients' needs in critical situations. By conducting this exercise, we strengthened our readiness and reinforced our ability to protect your community.

Today, Palomar had the honor of partnering with the San Diego Seals and the Armed Services YMCA San Diego combating food insecurity in the communities that we serve. This food distribution program helps military families worry less about food and focus on mission readiness. We recognize that volunteer participation is crucial for food programs such as this one. This 12-week opportunity is designed to provide college students and early career individuals with invaluable hands-on experience that will propel them towards their future goals. Throughout the program, interns will learn directly from our dedicated leaders and team members, and serve in a wide array of departments, including Actuarial, Corporate Development, Operations, Marketing, Legal, Reinsurance, Compliance, Claims, and Customer Service.
