In honor of this special week, Pocket Nurse joins the healthcare education community in saluting you and simulation-based instructors everywhere. This week highlights your essential work in creating powerful learning scenarios to improve critical thinking skills and, ultimately, future patient outcomes. The Society for Simulation in Healthcare has declared this year’s theme to be “Launchpad to Legacy: What’s Your Next?” This is all about sharing your simulation goals and collaborating with others to advance our profession and benefit future patients. Healthcare Simulation Week provides a platform to share your experiences and ideas and learn from others. I encourage you to share your success stories on social media using the #HCSimWeek hashtag, so that together we may learn from each other and continue to raise the standards for simulation. In the next few days, I hope you will set aside time to gather with your colleagues and celebrate Healthcare Simulation Week.
