Poe Construction Celebrates 50 years! From modest build-to-suit buildings for the local community - to a variety of large projects for local, regional, and national customers, Poe Construction has maintained its local small-town philosophy and mantra of “Building on Integrity” for 50 years. Established in 1973 as East Valley Construction and renamed shortly thereafter when Fred Poe bought out his partners, Poe Construction established a reputation as the “go to” local company in the Kent valley working with local business owners to help with their building needs and growth. In the 70's the Kent Valley was known mostly for manufacturing and Poe worked on many building projects in support of the local manufacturing. At that time a 40,000 to 50,000 sq. ft. building was considered a big project and Poe’s annual revenue ranged from $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Today the projects are much more diverse and the distribution buildings, which have become a staple for Poe, aren’t considered “big” until they’re hundreds of thousands of square feet. In addition to the tilt distribution projects, Poe has built a variety retail stores for regional and national chains, medical office buildings, and automobile dealerships. Local, regional, and national developers have trusted Poe Construction to partner on their projects relying on their construction expertise and integrity for 50 years. Poe’s revenue for 2022 reached $165,000,000 and Poe has been recognized by Puget Sound Business as one of Washington’s fastest growing companies. Poe Construction supports local causes including the Auburn Food Bank, Catholic Community Services, Young Life, MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and various local youth organizations. Poe continues to provide value to its customers by assisting its customers with site evaluations, preconstruction services, budgeting, and construction. Thank you to all of our current and past customers and to our many industry friends for making this milestone possible.

Congratulations to Lift Partners, KG Investment Properties, LLC and design team on the completed 98,29SF distribution building in the heart of Kent. The entire team was able to push and get the tenant occupancy of the warehouse as the office improvements were under design and permit review. The office buildout is currently underway and will house a consolidated Catalyst Team once complete.
