    In preparation for Dreamforce 2024 ☁️, I set up a campaign in Popl Teams. Campaigns are a new feature that allows us to: 📆 Plan: Set ROI goals, set up auto tags, prepare email follow up replies, connect CRM integrations, and more, before the event. 📲 Connect: Allow our team to share business info using our Popl digital cards, and use our new universal AI-powered badge scanner to scan badges and paper business cards. 🔁 Sync: Auto sync all our leads to our CRM using the connection created via the Campaign (in our case, we are syncing to Salesforce ☁️). 💡Analyze: Track ROI of the event, including top performers, low performers, and see recommendations for how to improve for our next event.     This is why I'm never, ever handing out a business card at an AV event again. Last week I went to the evening session of a Logitech Business event held at the Deliveroo offices in London. After a long chat about Microsoft Teams Rooms with the highly knowledgeable Randy Chapman, introduced to me by the very well connected Kieran Vora, I said I'd like to keep in touch. Rather than hand me a business card, Randy invited me to scan a QR code. And thanks to the Popl app on his phone, his details magically appeared on mine as a link to a web page I could look at later on. Of course this may be old hat to the tech elite. But it solves a problem for me. I still get asked for dead tree business cards which I don't carry with me. Sometimes it's by visitors to trade shows, rather than exhibitors who have badge scanners. Sometimes it's at other events. So I've created my own QR code business card to answer this need. The event was good for other reasons, too, particularly if you're interested in Logitech's take on enterprise tech and sustainability, of which more later. I got to see the amazing jumbotron over a basketball court themed presentation space at Deliveroo, managed by our host Chris Crichlow. I also caught up with the thoughtful Jonathan English who has interesting things to say about MillerKnoll's Relationship-Based Work and how it compares to activity-based working.     Cannot believe that it is already that time of year for #Dreamforce24! For Alliance managers and ISVs/SIs who gtm with Salesforce - this is your Super Bowl 🏈 ! I've learned a ton over the years on pre & post Dreamforce strategy...the good 👍 , the bad 👎 , the ugly ☠ . Here are some of those lessons: ⭐ As an alliance manager, if your company is sponsoring Dreamforce & you have to work the booth, advocate for time AWAY from the booth so that you can go to Salesforce industry booths that are staffed by SEs to make those initial connections. ⭐ DO NOT sponsor any & all happy hours. Make sure that your audiences align well AND most importantly, you know who was invited & attended. It is worth it to hire someone to be at the door to check people in (don't be afraid to ask for their name, title, and email address!) ⭐ Have a system that works for you to take notes on personal conversations you have. This will help with your follow up & response rate dramatically.
