Amidst the infodemic era we live in, finding trustworthy health advice can be challenging. In 2023, the Ministry of Health, Kenya, with support from Population Services International, co-developed Jali—a #WhatsApp health #chatbot that offers credible, on-demand health info to 12 million WhatsApp users in Kenya. Last week, Ministry of Health, Kenya, PSI, IntelliSoft, and Microsoft Garage teamed up at the Microsoft Global Hackathon to enhance the Jali user experience with #AI capabilities. This partnership is both boosting Jali’s technical capabilities and expanding the Ministry's understanding of AI’s role in transforming health outcomes. Want to know more? Everyone deserves the freedom to choose the healthcare they want and need, including safe abortion. Yet every minute, 67 women around the world resort to an unsafe abortion. This means that today, 96,000 women will risk their lives for a choice they should have the right to make safely. We can and must put an end to unsafe abortion. ✊ For #InternationalSafeAbortionDay and we’re calling on everyone to support safe abortion access for all. #AbortionSolidarity

🌍 In the spirit of fostering government-to-government cross-learning, Population Services International and the World Health Organization supported the Mozambique Ministry of Health on an observational visit to Zambia, focused on Zambia’s experience implementing their National Digital Health Strategy. The delegation explored how Zambia’s approach to governance, capacity building, and intersectoral collaboration has driven successful digital health outcomes. The insights from the visit will directly shape Mozambique’s National Digital Health Strategy, currently under development in collaboration with Population Services International and the World Health Organization. 🤝 These collaborations play a key role in building digital health ecosystems — laying the foundation for stronger, more resilient health systems. #DigitalHealth #HealthSystemsStrengthening #GlobalHealth #CrossLearning #InnovationInHealth #HealthcareTransformation #HealthForAll
