【Porsche Hong Kong Fully Supports the VTC Electric Vehicle Training Centre Opening Ceremony】 On 28 May, 2024, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tsing Yi) celebrated the opening of its new Electric Vehicle (EV) Training Centre, marking the launch of the "Certificate in Electric Vehicle Repair and Maintenance" programme in the coming academic year. The Government's proactive initiatives to promote clean and environmentally friendly mobility solutions have driven a surge in EV popularity, significantly accelerating the transition to sustainable transport and increasing demand for qualified EV professionals. The new programme aims to equip current practitioners and new recruits with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the evolving automotive market's growing demands. With the purpose to develop students who eventually will be professionals in the industry, this year, Jebsen Motors has built a stronger partnership with VTC through Apprenticeship Scheme. We organized company visit in service centre and career talks for over 140 students in total from Automotive stream. There will be 6 exceptionally outperformed students joining Jebsen Motors as Apprentice through 2024 intake. Upon graduation from the 2-3 years of mixed work-study programme, top apprentices will be promoted to Junior Technicians after assessments and continue serving the company. To further showcase Jebsen's commitment to nurturing future automotive talents, Porsche Centre Hong Kong graciously displayed its flagship all-electric Taycan at the campus during the opening ceremony. This interactive exhibit enabled students to witness the latest advancements in electric vehicle technology and gain firsthand insight into the brand's vision for electric mobility.
