🌍 Exciting times at Port Everglades! Yesterday, we welcomed two international delegations -- Kenya Port Authority and Tokyo Harbor Transportation Association -- who were interested in learning more about how our port remains a vital economic driver for Broward County. 🚢 With our strategic location, Port Everglades is perfectly positioned for trade across all lanes, especially the crucial North-South trade routes that bring many of the products our region requires. Here’s to creating more channels of communication and collaboration! 🌐 #porteverglades #cargo #EconomicGrowth #browardcounty A big thanks to our tour leads: Deputy Port Director Glenn Wiltshire, Business Development Manager Nicholas Vandenheiligenberg, PPM, Director of External Affairs and Marketing's Ellen Kennedy and Communications Manager Alinda Montfort.

During Broward County’s FITCE, we hosted two tours for attendees to learn more about how Port Everglades supports jobs-creation and business development through our Foreign-Trade Zone No. 25 and cargo operations. We extend our gratitude to Broward County Commissioner Hazelle Rogers and Assistant County Administrator Michael Ruiz for joining us on the tours, including stops at an FTZ-designated Toyota facility and the International Warehouse Services (IWS) facility. #PortEverglades BrowardCountyOESBD Broward County Government

💦Port Everglades continues to make a big splash regionally and globally. We’re an economic juggernaut for Broward County, and it was an honor yesterday for our Deputy Port Director Glenn Wiltshire to share at FITCE how we do business with the world. 📍Our location in the heart of one of the world’s largest consumer regions also sets us apart. There are approximately 6 million plus residents within a 100-mile radius and 80 percent of the imports that comes through our port is consumed within 80 miles of our port. 💵The total value of our trade in 2023, was $27.6 billion or which $12.8 billion was from imports. As the grocery store of the Caribbean and Latin America, we exported $14.8 billion worth of goods. Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development #browardcounty #trade #cargo

Port Everglades and Princess Cruises share a long history with the cruise line being a key customer for more than 65 years. Did you know that Sun Princess, the cruise line's largest and most innovative ship, is the third to carry the name? The first Sun Princess was used in 1977 for the pilot TV show "The Love Boat."
