Our portfolio company, ClostraBio, Inc, has some exciting updates - they announced today investments from the Illinois Innovation Venture Fund (INVENT) and Next Gen Nutrition Investment Partners, LLC! This round of investments will help grow their product pipeline and the upcoming launch of their CLB101™-based product by partnering with supplement companies that market directly to healthcare practitioners who understand the importance of butyrate. ClostraBio also announced Brian Meehan as their new Chief Scientific Officer to help with gut microbiome product development.   These are major milestones for ClostraBio, and we look forward to their further growth in Chicago. It’s official – Portal is expanding in Chicago! This summer we’re opening space on the 10th floor at our 400 N. Aberdeen location which will bring our total footprint to 53,000 square feet. We’re excited to have our tenants at 1375 W. Fulton location move to our Aberdeen space where more than 55 startups will work under one roof. A big thank you to Dan Lyne with CBRE and John Carlson with Trammell Crow Company for working with us on this expansion. Since launching in 2020, we’ve helped a number of startups grow from seed to Series A and beyond by providing them with access to world-class lab space and equipment.
