Portland Leather Goods is a start-up company founded in 2015. Since our humble beginnings inside the owner's garage, we have expanded to a stunning, sunlit warehouse in South East Portland. Our team is diverse, funny, smart & and ridiculously talented. Our days are filled with coffee, jokes, great music, shop pups, and of course, custom making leather durables that we have delivered around the world. We sell our handmade, quality leather goods all around the world.

    Treet is a Treat! We love our customers and are always searching for new ways to enhance their experience—even if that means guiding them off our site. Yep, you read that right. Since full-grain leather only gets better with age and our bags wear in, not out, there’s a thriving resale market for PLG. For years, we intentionally stayed out of the buy-sell-trade (BST) scene. Our Insiders community has always been focused on fostering connection, so resale activities took place elsewhere, often on Facebook groups. While this worked for some, others felt less comfortable navigating those transactions. Concerns about security, reliability, and ease of use grew as the resale arena expanded. Recognizing this need, we decided to step in and offer a solution. So, last fall, we partnered with Treet to create our own resale platform—a secure, easy-to-use space where our community can buy, sell, and trade their beloved PLG. And guess what? It’s been a massive hit! Almost a year in, the response has been overwhelmingly positive! Our Insiders love Treet’s user-friendly interface, secure transactions, and the 110% credit toward new PLG purchases. Whether they were resale pros or first-timers, everyone’s found a better way to swap their bags. And the best part?     What do you get when an avocado takes a selfie? A guac-star!🤩 National Avocado Day, celebrated annually on July 31st, is a playful social media holiday dedicated to one of the world’s most beloved fruits. Yes, we said fruit! 🥑 Our Avocado pebbled leather, a rich dark green reminiscent of the textured skin of an avocado, has quickly become a fan favorite at Portland Leather. Originally introduced as a rare "unicorn" color, only discoverable in our mystery boxes, its unique charm soon captured the hearts of our Portland Leather Insiders. To celebrate National Avocado Day and the incredible response to this verdant pebbled leather, we teamed up with Cado Avocado Ice Cream for a special Instagram giveaway. Two lucky winners received exclusive mystery boxes featuring our coveted Avocado tote, along with delicious plant-based sweet treats! The giveaway was a hit, with our Instagram followers eagerly participating and sharing their love for both avocados and leather goods. The overwhelming enthusiasm from our Purse Pals inspired us to make this sought-after shade available for direct purchase! This fall, we’re excited to bring Avocado to a selection of our most popular products, allowing even more of our customers to enjoy this beautiful, nature-inspired color.     What’s better than leather and ice cream? Both, together, of course! Last month, it was all scoops and smiles as we threw an epic Ice Cream Social at our Portland Outlet to celebrate our amazing community and customers. The excitement was real—by 11 AM, the line stretched down the street and almost wrapped around the corner! We partnered with local legend Fifty Licks for free scoops all around! 🍨 But that’s not all. This cool event also coincided with the release of our “Ice Cream Colors” collection. While color names weren’t directly inspired by our favorite flavors, they’re just as delightful—think fruit sorbet in leather form! (Okay, we did name one Vanilla, but it’s just too classic to resist.) But the real showstopper? Our “Make Your Own Monstera” station! From León with love, we shipped up colorful leaf pieces so attendees could select and assemble their own custom keychain. This hands-on treat was a crowd favorite among kids and adults alike, giving everyone a chance to take home a little piece of the fun. 🌿 Thanks to everyone who came out to chill with us.     Sips & Stems! This past spring, we went all out for Mother’s Day at our Portland Outlet! We hosted a snazzy lil’ shindig where moms, motherly figures, and guests crafted fun floral arrangements at our pop-up custom bouquet station and enjoyed delicious bevys, thanks to our friends at Wild Roots of Cascade Spirits. 🍹🌸 Our raffles have become a beloved tradition at our customer-appreciation events, and Mother’s Day was no exception. We offered three fantastic bundles filled with curated goodies and, of course, PLG gift cards! Proceeds from the raffle went to Rose Haven, a nonprofit day shelter and community center that has been serving women and children in the Portland area for over 20 years. It was an unforgettable day for PLG staff and customers alike! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to making it truly special. You brought the magic, and together, we supported a cause that makes a real difference! 💐✨

    We have a Business Linkedin? What the Hell! My assistant Mariana and I have been doing random things on Linkedin for about a year and we had no idea that 4000 people had followed us on a business page. Of course, the business is more popular than us. But I am letting my team know it is LEARNING TIME on business Linkedin. We are going to hit it with the fun and energy we put into our company and see if something grows. New adventure: HERE WE GO!
