It was with great honor and privilege to meet and greet with Mrs Ibukunoluwa Abiodun Awosika Ibukun Awosika She served as the First female Chairperson of First Bank of Nigeria She was appointed a member of Binance Global Advisory Board in September 2022. Ibukun Awosika worked as an audit trainee at Akintola Williams & Co. which later became Deloitte. she established a furniture manufacturing company called Quebees Limited in 1989 before it evolved into The Chair Centre Limited and later SOKOA Chair Centre Limited following a venture merge with SOKOA S.A and Guaranty Trust Bank in 2004. Ibukun Awosika is a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, member of the board of Nigerian Sovereign Wealth Fund and former Chairperson, Board of Trustees of Women in Management, Business and Public Service. In 2011, she co-founded the Afterschool Graduate Development Centre, a career centre established to checkmate the high rate of unemployment in Nigeria. Ibukun Awosika is member of IESE’s International Advisory Board (IAB). She also sits on the board of Digital Jewel Limited and Cadbury Nig Plc. In 2008, Ibukun Awosika was among five Nigerian entrepreneurs who appeared in the first African version of the Dragon’s Den. She also hosts a T.V programme called Business His Way. She also starred in the 2020 Citation alongside Temi Otedola produced by Kunle Afolayan. It was great honor and privilege to link up with my Leader, Mentor, Father, Brother and Senior colleague in the industry - Mansur Mukhtar Chairman Bank of Industry (BOI) Mansur Muhtar is a Nigerian economist who served as Minister of Finance in the cabinet of President Umaru Yar’Adua from 17 December 2008 to March 2010. Muhtar worked at the Central Bank of Nigeria as an Assistant Economist (1980–81), and as a graduate assistant/assistant lecturer, in 1981 and 1982 at Bayero University, Kano. Muhtar was special adviser/assistant to the minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources (1990–1992). He worked at the World Bank (1992–2000) in various roles. He was a deputy general manager at the United Bank for Africa between July 2000 and March 2001, and later was executive director at African Development Bank in Tunis. Muhtar served as executive director of the World Bank from 2011 to 2014. His appointment to this full-time position in Washington was a result of the creation of an additional seat for Africa on the board of the World Bank Group; Africa subsequently had three seats on the board from November 2010. Mansur’s duties on the board included setting strategic directions and approving policies and programmes of the World Bank Group in the member states, approving internal policies including human resources and oversight of matters related to the functioning of the group’s duties.
