We're excited to announce our new partnership with Legacy, the country's leading sperm testing and freezing company. This partnership marks an expansion and milestone in Posterity Health's ability to provide comprehensive male reproductive health care with a digital-first, at-home patient experience.  As the digital healthcare space continues to evolve, Posterity Health is filling the gap in the market and expanding care to the male, creating a much-needed couple's path to pregnancy.    "Our vision is to provide every male with the knowledge, resources and support to optimize their reproductive health,” says Dr. Barrett Cowan, Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Posterity Health. “This partnership will extend our reach and allow males who obtain a Legacy test to have immediate access to male fertility specialists. This combined solution creates a unique, private and personalized experience for males and couples struggling to conceive. Working together we can help every couple find their best path to pregnancy, improve the overall health status of males and dramatically reduce the cost of care." #PosterityHealth #Legacy #malefertility #malereproductivehealth

    Founder & CEO at Legacy

In advance of the ASRM conference in Denver, Legacy and Posterity Health are announcing a new partnership to provide fundamentally better care for males on both of our platforms. A special thanks to Pamela Pure, Matt Lenz and Matt Alley, MBA, M.S. from the Posterity team as well as Steve F. and Sarah Steinle on the Legacy team. This is what it looks like when two companies make long-term decisions on the basis of industry trends and strategic opportunities. In brief: Legacy will provide sperm testing and sperm freezing to all Posterity patients, including DNA Fragmentation testing and Post-Vasectomy Semen Analysis, as part of expanding our offerings towards clinics and other healthcare providers. Posterity specialists will provide male reproductive procedures, including vasectomies vasectomy reversals, sperm extractions, as well as fertility work-ups and sexual health care, through tele-health or in-person at one of Posterity's treatment hubs. If you work with Legacy today, nothing is changing, except that we have a greater ability to refer patients to Posterity for additional services and procedures, for better overall care for your patients. Ultimately, this is part of our joint efforts to provide a better experience for male reproductive care, to continue to grow the size of the market, and to continue to identify opportunities to growth together. Excited to be working further with the Posterity team. CC: American Society for Reproductive Medicine - ASRM

Our Chief Medical Officer Dr. Barrett Cowan was interviewed by The Wall Street Journal for this important article about the risks of testosterone therapy. “Certainly over the last five years, the number of people coming in on testosterone has skyrocketed,” said Barrett Cowan, a reproductive urologist at Posterity Health in Colorado. People tend to assume infertility is a female issue, he said. “Often it’s a male issue.” Low testosterone is a common problem, and there are excellent treatments that can help. But men need to be aware of the potential implications of each of these medications, especially when it comes to fertility, where testosterone therapy can act as a contraceptive, stopping sperm production. The onslaught of centers that overprescribe testosterone puts men at risk. We believe men really need comprehensive, specialized care from physicians with expertise in both testosterone management and reproductive health.
