Let's face it, settling for 'barely good enough' is a disservice. 📈 #Leaders don’t just find talent; they inspire and develop it. SAD Managers 'Hire Down'; meanwhile, #Leaders 'hire up,' seeking potential and fostering empowerment and dedication to mission. Punitive 'Policy' drives the hate underground. #DEILeaders seek out the marginalized and help give them a voice. Leaders don't sit around waiting for a victim to 'show up' on their published calendar. How tone-deaf is it to expect victims to 'self-identify'? Humans don't work like that. Find, meet, and educate the 'influencers' with no 'title'; build networks within your organization. Don't wait. Leaders expect and want honorable challenge! SAD Managers resent it. SAD organizations promote and perpetuate #SAD, whereby damaging trust, productivity, and morale and creating liabilities through SAD managerial bafoonism. A Filter for Decision-Making: The Nature of the Divine and Agape Love Many traditions see the Divine as embodying perfect love – 'agape'. Agape means selfless, unconditional love that seeks the good of others. My POTU (Path Of The Unlimited) Filter examines spiritual insights: Is the Divine truly 1) present, 2) unlimited, and 3) embodying agape? As I pivot towards consulting or executive roles, I've reflected on the past decade as an enlightening phase, revealing the prevalence of Fear-Focused Management (FFM) or Fear-Based Management (FBM). This approach inadvertently fosters Fear-Based Leadership. Our world, admittedly overrun with acronyms, could do without more. Yet, FFM and FBM succinctly capture the essence of the leadership crises I've observed: unnecessary costs, wasteful practices, poor decision-making, and the illusion of team-building and trust amidst a fundamental misunderstanding of these concepts. This environment often resembles a systemic confirmation bias within organizations, undermining the ideal of governance and government agencies as paragons of excellence.
