During this afternoon's Staff Forum sessions on AI, we learned how to craft AI prompts for improved results from Erica Hanna. Then, we watched a live demo of pool members using AI tools to analyze a data set, write a newsletter, make a presentation, generate images and then create a related video (with a voiceover!) in under 90 minutes! If you missed it, don't worry - we've got lots of additional content coming up on AI, as well as exclusive access to training opportunities. Visit www.agrip.org/AIresources for more information.

Our first full day in San Antonio for Staff Forum 2024 featured a dozen interactive, collaborative and cross-functional sessions on topics like nuclear verdicts, climate change, storytelling, employee benefits carriers and using scorecards for member retention. Then, we wrapped up with guided roundtable discussions on liability, property and workers' compensation. Now, we're headed out into the Texas heat to grab a taco.... or two!

The rapid pace of AI evolution and resulting revolutionary changes are overwhelming and it’s tempting to let others figure it out first. But pools safeguard our most important and vulnerable local public entity assets – so it’s important for us to be at the forefront on behalf of our members. In the latest issue of Intelligence, we explore AI implications for pools on everything from internal operations and underlying business infrastructure to how members experience your services and ways to support them as AI begins to influence their work. You’ll find guidance on how to engage your staff and governing body and position your pool to be ready for these extraordinary (and exciting!) changes.
