    Introducing Evan Doane, Florida Territory Manager at Precept Wine & Spirits. With an extensive background in beverage distribution, Evan joined the team in late 2021, drawn by the company’s welcoming atmosphere. His role is extremely dynamic, engaging in market visits with distributor representatives, conducting price surveys for major national chains, and more. Evan says the most rewarding aspect of his job is witnessing the tangible success of his efforts—whether it’s seeing a product placed in a restaurant or observing customers savoring the wines he has helped promote. Evan is passionate about the outdoors, enjoying fishing, beach outings, and attending sporting events, particularly basketball and baseball, when he is not selling wine and spirits. His favorite product from Precept is the 21 Year Frigate Reserve Rum, which he enjoys pairing with sunny days spent fishing.

    Meet Jamie Lepper, our Demand Planner at Precept Wine & Spirits. Jamie’s passion for wine and desire to work in a close-knit environment brought her to the team. With a sharp eye for detail, Jamie ensures our wine production runs seamlessly. She is involved in everything from coordinating blends to managing inventory and facilitating communication across departments, all of which play a vital role in keeping our operations on track. When she’s not at work, Jamie loves spending time outside. whether she’s relaxing at breweries, camping, or enjoying games. She also cherishes time spent with her beagle, Roger, at dog parks. For Jamie, the most rewarding part of her role is seeing her planning efforts come to life. Spotting the results of her hard work on store shelves is truly fulfilling! Her advice for those interested in the adult beverage industry? Passion is key. It can be both inspiring and dynamic, so find and embrace your niche.     Did you know? Sparkling wine grapes, which require higher acidity and lower sugar content, are always the first to be harvested each season to adhere to traditional winemaking styles. Last night, the grape harvest began at Tamaya Vineyard at Santa Ana Pueblo in the Middle Rio Grande AVA, focusing on 30 acres of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir grapes over 72 hours. The vineyard, established by Santa Ana Pueblo a decade ago, has worked with Gruet since its first harvest in 2016. Cheers to harvest time in New Mexico! New Mexico Wine & Grape Growers Association

    Pricing Director & Outdoor Enthusiast Meet Paul Locke, the Pricing Director at Precept Wine & Spirits. With an accounting degree in hand, he began his career as a management intern at Walgreens. His interest in the consumer side of the wine and spirits industry led him to explore pricing, where he ultimately found his niche. At Precept, Paul’s day-to-day involves navigating state regulations to ensure our pricing strategies are always compliant and competitive. Outside of the office, Paul is an avid hiker who recently conquered Mailbox Peak near North Bend, Washington. He also cherishes spending time with his three boys. When it comes to our portfolio, Paul’s go-to is the Browne Family Spirts Forest Project Single Malt Bourbon. He enjoys it best on the rocks, paired with some backyard BBQ — a perfect blend of his professional and personal passions.
