  • Today is Election Day! Everyone needs to turn out and vote for our country. What this also means, however, is that the devastation here in WNC is no longer going to be a top headline – resulting in what we have already seen here at the #PCRHub, significant declines in donations and volunteers. We are NOT quitting on our neighbors! The critical need here continues, and we are simply changing a few things to best accommodate: 1) Distribution to those in need: we will be open tomorrow, Wed, at 12 as normal, but afterwards we are going to be open ONLY Fridays and Saturdays from 12-4pm. (note: this means we will NOT be open this Thurs, the 7th). 2) Donations: we will only receive donations on Fridays from 9am-12pm. Mailed deliveries are fine on ANY day still. We are not accepting more clothing or furniture donations. We need more canned foods, and still see the top needs list and gifting options at: https://lnkd.in/eWhdTKqu 3) Volunteers: please come help!! We need help Fridays 9-4, Saturdays 12-4 and also on Mondays we will be organizing on site from 12-4. If you are interested in helping to deploy resources from our Hub to other forward needing locations, please also come on Mondays and bring your truck and/or trailer! Bring a friend! Ya’ll just come and show up! If you already have a delivery etc. scheduled with us for a different day, simply send an email to operations@preparewithpcs.com to deconflict and we will take care of you! Thank you for helping! #BecauseWeCare #WarmHeartsWarmHomes #TogetherWeStand #GratitudeInAction #CommunityLove #SeasonOfWarmth #Unity #WNCStrong #NCAgriculture #ncwx #HeleneReliefEfforts #Helene2024 #PisgahCoalition #HeleneRelief #FirstResponder #Hurricane #EmergencyServices #WhenResponseTimeMatters #StrategicResponsePartners #DisasterResponse #SavingLives #RestoringProperty #preparewithpcs #securewithpcs #NCReady

  • The Pisgah/Preparedness Coalition Relief Hub (#PCRHub) continues to grow and evolve in its operation!! Quickly approaching 30,000 persons provisioned and cared for, we are excited to launch this morning another week of distribution - all after our all-volunteer teams have spent days not only restocking our main Hub but standing up and supplying new Spoke locations across WNC to expand our #PCRHub reach to precisely and tailored meet the needs of our communities and neighbors still in need. Here at the Hub on Pisgah Highway, please come by today thru Saturday from 12-5 if there is ANYTHING you, your family or your neighbors need! Please remain patient with our limited but dedicated volunteer and private force serving thousands per day! For our donation deliveries here - please take note that this Monday, Nov 4th, from 12-5 is scheduled to be our last announced day to receive truck deliveries here on Pisgah Highway with exact next instructions coming at the end of the week! Online deliveries mailed can continue without change, and check our main website for continued updated needs lists: https://lnkd.in/eWhdTKqu, and please also come out and volunteer on distro days and times if you are able! Volunteer burn-out is a real thing and we can use every set of hands we can get to keep this effort moving forward. The weather, the donations, and the needs are all constantly changing and we here will NOT quit but will keep structuring to best meet the needs first and foremost! No matter the public and civil narrative that all is normal again, we know it is NOT for so many of us - there are critical and unmet needs both now and for a long time ahead, and we are going to do everything physically possible to help. Stay strong neighbors helping neighbors - we here in WNC we’ve GOT this and we’ve GOT EACH OTHER and God has a plan & purpose. Don’t cave or waive. #BecauseWeCare #WarmHeartsWarmHomes #TogetherWeStand #GratitudeInAction #CommunityLove #SeasonOfWarmth #Unity #WNCStrong #NCAgriculture #ncwx #HeleneReliefEfforts #Helene2024 #PisgahCoalition #HeleneRelief #FirstResponder #Hurricane #EmergencyServices #WhenResponseTimeMatters #StrategicResponsePartners #DisasterResponse #SavingLives #RestoringProperty #preparewithpcs #securewithpcs #NCReady

  • Here at PCS you will purposefully see us almost never discussing who our clients are - however today we have to brag about EnergyUnited. As PCS continues executing Incident Command for the all-volunteer Coalition Relief Hub we have been blessed by an untold volume of donations and support. Today, the CEO and Director of Transformation for EnergyUnited personally traveled to our Hub to tour its footprint and donate critically needed supplies and operational gear in solidarity with the WNC community through this dire time. This team represents the very best across Electrical Cooperatives and their personal vested interest in sustaining and preserving our communities - even while their teams are on the ground physically repairing destroyed infrastructure in similar solidarity with other regional electrical providers who are doing their absolute best by the minute. We are proud to have, and continue, to serve their security and preparedness needs as a top tier client, and are very proud of all our WNC communities who are showing the very best of humanity and lighting up the darkness - even literally. #TheEnergyUnitedWay #PisgahCoalition #HeleneRelief #FirstResponder #Hurricane #EmergencyServices #WhenResponseTimeMatters #StrategicResponsePartners #DisasterResponse #SavingLives #RestoringProperty #preparewithpcs #securewithpcs #NCReady #MountainStrong

  • Relief operations continue relentlessly here in WNC – with the Helene Relief Pisgah Coalition Hub at 1433 Pisgah Highway, Candler in full swing. With only the first two days of distribution over 1,000 people have already been helped, bringing the full team’s total to nearly 23,000 people since #Helene passed through us all here. Today our volunteers have been exhausting themselves sorting and preparing for the first full week at this new Hub site. The success of continued Hub operations hinges on the kindness and generosity continuing from all of those who have come alongside this crisis – both donations and volunteers are critically needed to maintain the effort. Volunteers please just come by! If you want to help unload and organize, then come Mondays and Tuesdays 12-5. For help organizing, handing out and greeting – please come Wednesdays thru Saturdays 12-5! Come a few minutes early if able and check in at the very first tent found. Park at the church next door or along the road in parallel! Donation deliveries can be received at our new Hub Mondays & Tuesdays from 12-5pm. All deliveries, or large groups interested in assisting in out-of-area supply deliveries and recovery efforts, please email operations@preparewithpcs.com in advance to coordinate before beginning travel to us! For mailing of ordered donations, email operations@preparewithpcs.com for a detailed list of critical items that can be ordered and sent directly to the Hub for immediate use and distribution to the right communities and families in need. Please continue to support and pray – many advertise and feel a “return to normal,” and while for some that is close to true there are still so so so many in extremely dire circumstances and needs that cannot be simply set aside for the personal comfort and convenience of a few! Here at our Pisgah Coalition Hub we will continue to provision, hug, and pray over every one of these in need that can reach us or that we can reach them, for as long as we are able. #PisgahCoalition #HeleneRelief #FirstResponder #Hurricane #EmergencyServices #WhenResponseTimeMatters #StrategicResponsePartners #DisasterResponse #SavingLives #RestoringProperty #preparewithpcs #securewithpcs #NCReady

  • Words cannot begin to describe the humility felt by every single volunteer that has been associated with and a part of the PCS Relief Hub operations these past weeks. The hundreds of local, regional and national organizations that have shown up in force, and the hundreds of our neighbors who haven’t hesitated despite their own losses. There are simply no words. As we served nearly 20,000 people over several days at our first Hub location of Pole Creek Baptist, our move to the new Hub location nearby is proceeding rapidly and smoothly. We ask our tireless volunteers to continue turning out to help us serve and show God’s love and provision during these trying times! Our communities are not even close to being done with critical needs and life-threatening conditions. Distribution will resume at the new location on Pisgah Highway (151) at 1433 Pisgah Highway, Candler on this Friday, the 18th. At this time, Relief Distribution from the new Hub will occur Wednesdays thru Saturdays, from 12-5pm. Donation deliveries can be received at our new Hub Mondays & Tuesdays from 12-5pm, or Fridays & Saturdays 9am-12pm (if you’re already enroute don’t turn around, keep coming!). All deliveries, or large groups interested in assisting in out-of-area supply deliveries and recovery efforts, please email operations@preparewithpcs.com in advance to coordinate before beginning travel to us! For mailing of donations, please contact the same email address to make arrangements. While this refreshed Hub location represents a broad coalition of groups seeking to simply help our neighbors, PCS will remain a key component by executing Incident Command and coordinating logistics to the best of our ability – a role that we are honored to commit to. #HeleneRelief #FirstResponder #Hurricane #EmergencyServices #WhenResponseTimeMatters #StrategicResponsePartners #DisasterResponse #SavingLives #RestoringProperty #preparewithpcs #securewithpcs #NCReady

  • For the past week and a half, the PCS Relief Hub and its partners and tireless volunteers have served and provisioned over 17,000 of our neighbors, not counting the daily resupply convoy’s we send across seven counties. Tomorrow, Monday the 14th, will be the last day of supply distribution at Pole Creek Baptist Church. Distribution will resume at the new location on Pisgah Highway (151) on this Friday, the 18th. As always, our Hub will remain safe and secure with 24/7 private security. Specifically, for all our incredible volunteers – tomorrow, Monday, will be normal full operations at Pole Creek. Tuesday through Thursday please assist as able with the moving of supplies and setup of our new site. On Friday, the 18th, please all able volunteers report to our new Hub on Pisgah Highway at 11am for orientation and start of our next Phase!! Please plan to park either next door at the Glady Missionary Baptist Church lower lot OR along the Hominy side of Pisgah Highway SAFELY, in the grass, and be mindful of traffic please. #HeleneRelief #FirstResponder #Hurricane #EmergencyServices #WhenResponseTimeMatters #StrategicResponsePartners #DisasterResponse #SavingLives #RestoringProperty #preparewithpcs #securewithpcs #NCReady

  • The PCS Hub for WNC #HeleneRelief Operations continues to make an unbelievable impact – this morning as the sun rose and fog lifted our early teams were already preparing loads and vehicles for field deployment outward to our establishing system of PCS Spokes. We remain in awe of the giving and determined spirit of the army of Pole Creek Church volunteers at our Hub’s host campus and unyielding partner! Yesterday alone our Hub provisioned approximately 1,800 people, and as we have now well exceeded a week since the devastation of #Helene our Hub and Pole Creek campus have provisioned nearly 6,000 people! These statistics are an amazing testament to the resilience of our community. The PCS Hub is now open for the day, until 5pm, for distribution to anyone in need able to reach us here at the Pole Creek Baptist Church at 96 Snow Hill Church Road in Candler. Private security continues to ensure a safe environment for everyone in need. We remain proudly committed to helping our community through the duration of this crisis. Everyone stay strong, stay safe and God Bless. #FirstResponder #Hurricane #EmergencyServices #WhenResponseTimeMatters #StrategicResponsePartners #DisasterResponse #SavingLives #RestoringProperty #preparewithpcs #securewithpcs #NCReady

  • On Tuesday PCS personnel coordinated and received exceptional logistical support for the devastated WNC region at our established #PCS_PoleCreekBaptistChurch logistics hub & field headquarters location. This included a donated delivery of bottled water coordinated from our good friends in Greenville, SC allowing the distribution of potable water, and limited food also, to nearly 250 individuals – bringing the current 36hr total to nearly 600 people. Additionally received was a helicopter delivery from a non-profit veteran-manned organization providing snap site medical support for the medical evaluation & field care for community individuals in need of rapid outpatient level care not available to anyone, anywhere. This included multiple children with minor illnesses or infections, and up to our elderly family members with more serious check needs or immediate insulin and antibiotics. True life saving care, though thankfully we did not need their offered airlift of critical patients – though to further commend these brave volunteers they immediately moved next to a helicopter insertion to check on and potentially evacuate a stranded and special-needs child nearby. The #PCS_PoleCreekBaptistChurch logistics hub is preparing extensively on Wednesday to receive a dramatic influx of volunteer donated food, water, and much more by the end of the week. At the church later today, Wed, from 3-5pm we will be providing potable water and a #Starlink internet connection. At this time we will also be announcing details on scheduled provision of supplies and communications at Pole Creek starting daily on Thursday and sustained as long as possible. All operations will be conducted in a safe and secured environment for the protection of everyone seeking assistance. We ask that everyone be patient, kind and understanding that every single person in our community has a need right now. Stay safe, stay well, and God Bless. We will see you at Pole Creek Baptist Church tomorrow #FirstResponder #Hurricane #EmergencyServices #WhenResponseTimeMatters #StrategicResponsePartners #DisasterResponse #SavingLives #RestoringProperty #preparewithpcs #securewithpcs #NCReady #CandlerNC
