Last year, Seven Acre Dairy Company was awarded the Outstanding Historic Tax Credit project at our annual Preservation Awards Gala. This category recognizes beautiful, innovative, and unique spaces that people love. Do you know of a project that utilized the historic tax credit and created a meaningful space? Nominate them before Aug. 31 at https://lnkd.in/eSsPXyM9. We will honor them at our Gala Oct. 9!

“If you tear them down, it’s so wasteful that it’s really criminal in a way. It’s like, you could be building on these interesting buildings and make them work for today.”

Celebrating Progress in Downtown Minneapolis Revitalization! Monday night's Planning Commission meeting was a milestone for the Minneapolis Renaissance Coalition (MRC) and our shared mission to revitalize downtown. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stayed late and testified in support of converting underutilized buildings into vibrant spaces that will benefit our entire community. The room was filled with a palpable sense of victory as city decision-makers not only acknowledged our efforts but also unanimously supported and encouraged us to do even more. This moment is a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of public-private partnerships in driving meaningful change. A special shoutout to Councilmember Katie Cashman for her unwavering leadership in reducing barriers at the city level. It's leadership like hers that makes impactful change possible, and we’re excited to continue this momentum as we head into the upcoming City Council Business, Housing, and Zoning Committee meeting. Let's keep pushing forward, together. R.T. As part of Main Street America's Equitable Entrepreneurship Ecosystem pilot program, Gustavo Ustariz and Jason Schneider kicked off conversations with Red Wing Downtown Main Street, Hibbing Area Chamber of Commerce , and the Laurentian Chamber Of Commerce! All three cities are part of Minnesota Main Streets, and we can't wait to see what plans they create for their business communities!

Minnesota Main Streets is also excited to see the energy at the meetings held at the Laurentian Chamber Of Commerce. The cohort's enthusiasm was contagious, and we look forward to seeing what you come up with for your area!
I’ve been eagerly anticipating today since we were awarded a spot as one of 30 rural communities participating in the Main Street America Equitable Entrepreneurial Ecosystems pilot program. After months of prep, today we finally got to make friends with and show off our Quad Cities to Gustavo Ustariz and Jason Schneider. I’m proud of our business and resources partners that are participating in this process of inventorying our communities and ecosystem-building on behalf of Laurentian Chamber’s Main Streets. Looking forward to this advantage of working one-on-one with Main Street America and the other communities participating in the E3 pilot program. Civic* Possible
