It's always a pleasure chatting with fellow #Virgo, Nicole Randle! Thanks for sharing your expertise and experience in this latest PressKit interview. Nicole says her interest in #PR is driven by her curiosity about people and their interests. This is especially important to her work leading Advocacy Communications as a Senior Vice President at BerlinRosen. As we know, not all media databases are alike. When building press lists, Nicole says that the old standard media contact databases can be helpful, but the list isn't done when you first pull it. I had a great time catching up with my friend Julian Huff on how he got his start in the communications industry. Simply put: he's got a passion for storytelling. Julian and I met when he was just starting at Curley Company and was adjusting to agency life, client meetings, and of course...building press lists! In addition to his communications skills, Julian's also modeled for Vogue Italia, Hollister Co. and Nike. And, he's about to begin a new opportunity at United Talent Agency. I saw a survey from Axios Communicators showing that 64% of PR Pros already use AI in their work as of Nov. 2023. Curious, I polled members of Crisis Communication, Public Relations, and Communications, and Corporate Communications LinkedIn groups -- people whom I've personally interacted with in these online communities. I heard from 113 people. Thanks for the responses! A combined 69% of the group members responded 'yes' when asked “Are you planning to incorporate AI into your workflows?” Of course, I'm no pollster, but this does show continued momentum and interest in using AI in PR workflows. If you're one of the 16% who said no, I'd be very curious to know why.
