About us
Our mission is to give the world a strong foundation to build on. With the commercialization of geocell soil confinement technology in the early 1980s, Presto Geosystems made history as one of the early pioneers in the world of geosynthetics. Four decades later, that innovative spirit is as alive today as it was at the beginning of our journey. Our products have been used on every continent and on thousands of projects to improve infrastructure reliability and environmental quality for communities around the world. We believe in the human spirit of innovation, and we believe that reliable infrastructure and environmental quality are foundational to the prosperity and well-being of the world’s communities. The GEOWEB® Soil Stabilization System is the industry’s most complete geocell system, designed with fully engineered components to withstand the most challenging site problems. Made from robust high-density polyethylene (HDPE) since conception, the GEOWEB geocells offer the highest, longest-lasting, and most proven performance of any geocell system in civil applications. The team at Presto Geosystems is here to provide project engineering support from the preliminary stages through installation and follow-up. We offer free project evaluations for your load support, slope stabilization, channel protection, and retaining wall applications. Sandy soils on solar farms can present erosion challenges, but the GEOWEB® System provides an effective solution by confining soil and promoting vegetation growth. Thanks to Colonial Construction Materials, Inc. for sharing this great project! #SolarFarm #RenewableEnergy #geocells
It can be difficult to establish vegetation and minimize erosion in sandy soil. When that sandy soil is subject to concentrated flow on a solar farm, problems arise due to a lack of established grass and easily dislodged soil particles. To solve that problem, we recommended the Presto Geosystems GEOWEB soil stabilization system. GEOWEB resolved the soil loss problem by confining the sandy soil within a three dimensional honeycomb structure. This prevents movement, controls erosion and creates structured pockets where vegetation can establish. The geocell system was infilled with soil, covered with a coconut erosion control blanket and seeded for permanent vegetation. https://loom.ly/2V3AeaM
