Chief Operating Officer- Prime Team Partners

Buy local. We started Prime Team Partners here in Seattle, WA 19+ years ago, and built our reputation and networks all within the Pacific NW region. Our recruiter tenure within PTP spans 3-18 years, and with that comes a wealth of local connections and resources who are happy to pick up the phone and talk. Can we source remote? Absolutely. But... we all feel the remote work tide turning, and we can find you resources right here in the Emerald City.

🧠 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 💡 Hiring the right sales candidate involves more than just their ability to close deals. To truly understand their potential, it’s crucial to dig deeper into their personality, character, and how they handle adversity. Here’s my approach to building a more complete picture: 🎯 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 – Ask about specific instances where they faced setbacks or missed targets. How did they handle rejection? Did they adapt or find new solutions? This reveals their resilience and problem-solving ability. 📝 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 – Tools like DISC and Predictive Index can offer key insights into their work style, communication preferences, and team dynamics. For example, a candidate high in "Dominance" may excel in closing, while someone high in "Steadiness" might shine in long-term relationship management. Knowing their natural inclinations helps place them in the right role. 🛠️ 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 – Go beyond skills and ask about their values. How do they handle ethical dilemmas or high-pressure situations? Tools like Myers-Briggs or Enneagram provide a deeper understanding of their internal motivations, ensuring alignment with your company's culture. 🤝 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐭 – Combine personality assessments with peer interviews to see how well the candidate meshes with your team. A strong cultural fit means they’ll integrate smoothly and thrive in your environment. 🚀 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 – Present real-world sales scenarios they might face at your company. Their approach to problem-solving will show how well they handle complex challenges and whether they can remain resilient under pressure. 🔍 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢-𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 – Don’t rely on just one data point. By combining behavioral interviews, personality assessments, and peer feedback, you get a holistic view of their strengths, weaknesses, and potential for long-term success. By gathering multiple insights—through personality assessments, adversity stories, and real-world problem-solving examples—you can gain a more complete view of your sales candidates. This ensures you're hiring for both skill and character, resulting in a stronger, more resilient team. 💪 #SalesRecruiting #PersonalityAssessments #PredictiveIndex #DISC #Resilience #Hiring #TalentAcquisition #Recruiting

Talking with a client earlier today about why he works with us. He keeps a dashboard on the agencies he partners with, and uses that data to drive decisions. He factors in many things, but more important was offers extended, offers accepted and retention of hires. It's objective, results oriented, and takes any kind of "relationship" out of the decision- just purely based on results (which we love).

🔍 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 📊 In the fast-paced world of sales recruiting, focusing on key metrics is crucial for attracting top talent that drives revenue growth. Here are the top three metrics that signal when it might be beneficial to partner with a search firm: 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐥  𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥: Prolonged time to fill sales positions can lead to missed revenue opportunities and increased workloads for existing teams.  𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚: The average time to fill a sales position can exceed 40 days, according to the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). If your organization consistently struggles to fill these roles quickly, a search partner can leverage an extensive network of sales professionals to expedite the process.    𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐢𝐫𝐞  𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥: Low-quality sales hires directly impact revenue and client relationships.  𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚: Poor-quality hires can cost companies over $14,900 per bad hire, according to a study by the Brandon Hall Group. Search partners can provide rigorous candidate assessments to ensure alignment with sales goals and company culture, reducing the risk of costly hiring mistakes.    𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐞  𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥: High turnover in sales roles indicates a mismatch in skills, expectations, or cultural fit.  𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚: The average turnover rate for sales positions is about 25%, significantly higher than other roles. Search partners can help improve retention by identifying candidates who are more likely to succeed and remain with the company long-term, thereby stabilizing your sales force and reducing turnover costs. 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫?  If you’re experiencing challenges with time to fill, quality of hire, or retention in sales roles, partnering with a search firm could be the solution. Their expertise and extensive networks lead to more efficient hiring processes and drive better sales performance. By focusing on these critical metrics, you can significantly enhance your recruitment strategy and ensure you attract the right sales talent for sustained success. Fascinating insights here from Stephen Davis and Glenn Kelman at Redfin on the impact of working from home on the economy and its contribution to the soft landing.

Stephen Davis argues that the flexibility to work from home is one reason America has had a soft landing, because workers value convenience over wage increases, but what may be more disinflationary than the amenity value of working from home is the flexibility to live in a lower-cost city: people who move from Manhattan to rural South Carolina are paid less over time, but usually not via a one-time pay cut in 2022, but instead through an absence of pay raises in 2023 and 2024... Here's the paper: https://lnkd.in/gXzBA8-q And here, via Noah Smith, is the key quote: Two extraordinary U.S. labor market developments facilitated the sharp disinflation in 2022-23 without raising the unemployment rate. First, pandemic-driven infection worries and social distancing intentions caused a sizable drag on labor force participation that began to reverse in the first quarter of 2022, and perhaps earlier. As the reversal unfolded, it raised labor supply and reduced wage growth. Second, the pandemic-instigated shift to work from home (WFH) raised the amenity value of employment in many jobs and for many workers. This development lowered wage-growth pressures along the transition path to a new equilibrium with pay packages that recognized higher remote work levels and their benefits to workers.
