We are pleased to announce the newest addition to the Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer PC team of litigation attorneys: Alexa Blaise. Alexa has joined the firm’s litigation practice group and will focus primarily on employment law. Alexa first joined Primmer in 2023 as a paralegal. She attended Champlain College and Vermont Law School, passing the bar exam in September of 2024. We recently were challenged by the office of Attorney General Charity Clark to participate in food and diaper drive within the legal community. We were proud to accumulate donations of canned goods and diapers totaling 276 items (including 17 cases of diapers). Last weekend, Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer PC attorneys, staff, their families and guests gathered for a day (and a night!) on a remote lake in New Hampshire to celebrate summer! With the 80-degree weather, it was easy to swim, kayak, fish, do archery, have a bourbon tasting, make friendship bracelets, compete in cribbage tournaments and cornhole tournaments, play basketball, pickleball, tetherball, have a bon fire, toast s'mores, ride around on a pontoon boat, attend a late-night comedy show and more! And even though we were busy with all of our Primmer summer fun, the best 'activity' was being able to come together to relax, and connect as humans. Last week, the NH Supreme Court issued a decision in the Matter of Gregory Landgraf and Natasha Landgraf. (2024 N. H. 41). The Court decided two issues transferred from the trial court by interlocutory appeal. Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer PC attorney L. Jonathan Ross explains how the Court’s decision makes the payment of child support more expensive for SubChapter S shareholders, and seems to create a windfall for child support recipients. Calculation of child support in these cases will require careful analysis.
