    🌞 What an incredible week at Printify Summer Week 2024! 🌟 Nearly 500 Printifyers, including 172 travelers, gathered for an epic celebration of learning and collaboration. This year, we embraced our core value of "We Learn It All" and hosted our very first Printify Summer Talks 2024 – a full-day conference where our own talents took center stage! 🎤 We transformed the Startup House Riga into a buzzing hub of ideas, spent months curating an exciting program, and invited Printifyers to share their expertise. 🧠 From AI to empathy to leadership, our 20 speakers delivered engaging talks on a variety of topics.     Giving a non-technical presentation on highly technical topic was a unique challenge for me, but it was also a rewarding experience. Last week, I had the opportunity to present at Printify's "Summer Talks 2024" event. My session, titled "A Brief History of Large Language Models," explored the journey of NLP — from the early days of Bag of Words and TF-IDF through embeddings and advanced neural networks that power today's LLMs. It was a refreshing break from the more tech-savvy presentations and tutorials I usually do. Why? Simplifying these complex concepts to make them accessible to a broader audience allowed me to look at the material from a different perspective and connect with a diverse group of attendees. 👀👀👀 What super-technical concept have you had to simplify and make relatable for a non-technical audience? 📚 #AI #MachineLearning #Printify #SummerTalks2024 #WeArePrintify

    What a day at Printify! Today, we had our very first in-person board meeting, hosted by our awesome CEO, Anastasija Oleinika, and our founder and executive chairman, James Janis Berdigans. It was an incredible session with two of our early-stage investors, Gokul Rajaram and Benjamin Ling, answering questions from the Printify team. Their insights were pure gold! ✨ Top advice for setting up a tech startup: ✍️ Hire top talent that shines during interviews. 🌟 ✍️ Ensure they are mission-driven, not just in it for the paycheck. 🎯 ✍️ Bring on board those who are genuinely passionate about the work. 💼 A big shoutout to our dedicated team! Gokul highlighted how committed we’ve been since day one, from our emails to Anastasija’s leadership as CEO. 💪 When asked about investments, Ben shared that he's been investing in private companies from the start but believes investment advice is unique to each individual. 💰 We also delved into when to be conservative and stop chasing new ideas. The consensus? Not anytime soon! At just nine years old, we’re in the prime time to keep innovating and exploring. 🚀 It was a fun and insightful day.
