Had the honor of attending the Women in Agribusiness summit in Denver this past week. A huge thank you to ProAg for making this possible!   Thankful for the opportunity to learn from many of the incredible women who attended, hear new perspectives, and find out what's happening in the Ag industry as a whole. It's truly remarkable the challenges women in the Ag industry have overcome.   Proud to be a woman in this industry! #WIA #WomeninAg #IamWIA

Check out this story from Tim Rich, Human Resources Director at ProAg. The ProAg Cares program was founded by an employee-led committee with three goals: take care of the ProAg team, care for our communities, including volunteer time-off, and care for our industry.

ProAg is committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work. Recently, ProAg along with our sister company, TMHCC Stop Loss Group, partnered to volunteer at Second Harvest Heartland, a hunger relief organization supporting hundreds of food bank and hunger relief programs in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Second Harvest is a proud member of Feeding America, an organization ProAg has been supporting for a number of years. Through our ProAg Cares program, our employees receive one day off a year with pay to volunteer in the communities in which they live and work. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back and serve our communities. #GrowWithUs #ProAgCares #PeopleofProAg #volunteering ProAg

As part of our shared commitment to environmental initiatives and as a member of the Tokio Marine HCC group of companies, one of our employees, Jayci Holsing, recently participated in a week-long Tokio Marine Group mangrove tree-planting trip to Ranong, Thailand. For the past 20 years, this project has sponsored other expeditions, including trips to Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia.     Jayci was one of two people selected. By joining the team, she contributed significantly to delivering on our shared purpose, ‘To Be a Good Company. ’ She met colleagues from across the globe, gave back to society and delivered on our commitment to achieving a more sustainable future. This initiative was a fantastic opportunity to make this earth a little bit better for all. Read more in Jayci’s own words here.

    Underwriting Support I at ProAg

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." - Helen Keller Never in my life would I have imagined I'd have the opportunity to travel to the other side of the world to plant mangroves in Thailand. Earlier this month, I had the honor of representing Tokio Marine HCC and ProAg at the 25th Annual Tokio Marine Nichido Mangrove Planting Tour in Ranong, Thailand. This experience was unlike anything I could have ever dreamed of doing, and it gave a whole new meaning to one of Helen Keller's many famous quotes. During the quick week the Tokio Marine group spent in Ranong, we planted 5,000 mangroves that will help sustain the ecology and livelihood of locals, we experienced new cultures, broke through language barriers, and carefully crafted beautiful friendships both within our group and with the local groups. Being part of such a hard-working and diverse group was so special, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the opportunity to experience something so incredible. I made lifelong friendships and found a new love and appreciation for the beauty of Thailand and its people. Perhaps in 10 years we can all reunite and see the forest we helped plant❤️

Producers face shrinking margins for the second consecutive year as we are witnessing some of the sharpest commodity price declines on record coupled with high input prices. One tool that can help farmers through this environment is area or country-based crop insurance plans. These relatively recent crop insurance plans use county-average yields to determine payouts. There are three types available: Margin Protection (MPP), Enhanced Coverage Option (ECO) and Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO). MPP and ECO coverage may provide up to 95% coverage against an unexpected decrease in operating margin while SCO can offer up to 86% coverage. Read more about county-based crop insurance plans here. https://lnkd.in/gASGgzy5 #cropinsurance #MPP #ECO #marginprotectionplan #enhancedcoverageoption #ProAg

The 2021 data for the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates that the agricultural sector is still the most dangerous in America with 453 fatalities. We can work together to protect the future of agriculture. It starts by keeping ag communities safe, healthy, and injury free! Help promote farm safety all week long by visiting the National Farm Safety week website. https://lnkd.in/eHJBueW
