How tough was it for you to deal with the loss of a pet? My dog, Gracie, passed early one morning after a short illness and it took me for a loop, I've had losses in my life; my Dad died 20 years ago, my in-laws lived with us for nearly 6 years, and both recently passed (my Mother-in-Law passed 3 weeks ago). But, my constant companion for the last 14 ¾ years leaving me hit me hard. Gracie, a Portuguese Water Dog, was the best dog I've ever known (I know, all pet owners say the same thing about their dogs). She was there for so many milestones of my adult life. I want to celebrate that she had a great life and provided us with nonstop unconditional love and affection 24-7 all those years. Nearly every day of my life had Gracie in it. I created habits around her that are embedded in my neural pathways that are now defunct and unnecessary. It's created a vacuum in my mind, heart, and soul. Rushing to take her out every morning for her first-morning walk, the paw-tap around 10 am that said, "Dad, let's play", her special bark that let me know she needed something right away-like a bully stick, or it's time to eat, and she loved the first snowfall more than any child, eating as much as she could until she'd shiver! She used to spend hours with me in the garden while I tended to the weeds and pruning where she would walk so slowly and intentionally, letting the plants brush over her without doing any damage and then sit and watch me. So many wonderful and precious moments filled all those years. So much loss but so many cherished memories. It's made me reflect on the gifts her passing has presented: ✨Always (I mean always!) be present with those you love. ✨It's the little things that you will cherish the most, so make time for them. ✨ Choose to listen to your dog when you least want to-it will get you to focus on what matters most-the precious present. ✨Each day is a gift. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Dogs teach you to make friends with life. You can't fight life when you're with a dog. It would be exhausting if you did. Trust life will give you gifts. Like Gracie. Share a story about your favorite pet in the comments. #business #theb3way #gratitude #inspiration

You hate conflict and always try to keep the peace, but sometimes that means sacrificing your own needs. The Harmony Enthusiast wants you to believe that everyone else's happiness is more important than your own. Let's dive into why prioritizing others at the expense of yourself can lead to resentment and burnout. The Problem: You avoid conflict at all costs, bending over backward to keep the peace. The Harmony Enthusiast tells you that everyone's happiness rests on your shoulders. Reason for Change: While you keep others happy, you lose yourself. Your own needs get pushed aside, leaving you drained and unfulfilled. How much longer will you sacrifice your voice? The Solution: Your Empathic Validator teaches you to balance harmony with self-expression. Stand firm in your boundaries while maintaining healthy, honest relationships. Each Inner Critic has its own way of holding you back, but you don't have to let them control you. It's time to tap into your Inner Coach and take back the reins. Ready to dive deeper? Winning the Super Bowl has its perks. But it must put such demands on the victors that would probably crush the ordinary person. The team has to think about managing a tough schedule of interviews, live events, as well as time with their family while nursing any injuries. It takes a certain attitude to be able to juggle all the demands. Then again, they wouldn't be winning the Super Bowl if they didn't have a ProAtittude! When it comes to attitude, what do you think separates the winners from the losers? #theb3way #motivation #leadership #mindset

I was fired once for refusing to do my job the way my boss wanted it done. I worked at a hospital then and cared for very sick patients as a dietitian and diabetes educator. She had a quota to meet that didn't reflect the quality of the job done. She needed to meet a quantity metric that didn't have anything to do with the quality of work we were doing. I was more concerned with helping people than hitting a number. That magic number was 10 patients per day. When taking care of a newly diagnosed patient with cancer, diabetes, or heart disease, you can't provide all that's needed in 15 minutes. Empathy and compassion can't be rushed. Besides, who is really listening to advice on diet, exercise, and hydration when their world is turned upside down with a diagnosis that's permanently changed their lives? It was more important to hold their hand and listen to their fears than to hit that 10-patient quota. I did listen, and I offered them hope that they could not just survive, but thrive. I often wonder what would have happened if I had focused on pleasing my boss instead of caring deeply for my patients. #theb3way #motivation #leadership #mindset

What's the most important ingredient for success? I know that my self-defeating daily habits kept me stuck for the longest time. Inconsistency, though, was what slowed my progress when I decided to change. It wasn't until I: ✨got up at the same time every day regardless of my schedule ✨made time for my self-care daily, regardless of the stress and challenges of the day ✨meditated to clear and quiet my mind ✨focused on my intentions for the day with a to-do list based on my vision/purpose My success came from consistency. It was the daily habits that contributed to getting me one step closer to where I wanted to be. What self-defeating daily habits are keeping you stuck? Need help with getting unstuck and being consistent? Click on the link to my to take that first step. https://lnkd.in/eD9wGP94 #business #motivation #theb3way

How do you interpret the saying "tip the scale"? One definition is to change the fortunes, either positively or negatively. I choose to imagine it to be a positive change.😉 I still get on the scale to see if it's going in the right direction, but it's the consistency of my habits that matter most. Now, instead of reacting to a number, I know that reflecting on my habits for the week is a more powerful scale. Change one choice at a time will tip the scale (whether mental or physical) positively! What do you do to tip the scale in your favor? #business #theb3way #nutrition

Do you have weeds growing that you are ignoring? Just like my garden, even when things are growing beautifully in your life, if you don't pull the "weeds", you're going to regret it. Take time to pull the weeds from the root, fill the holes, and don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. By the way, it's easier to pull the weeds with a tool, especially before they go to seed (like the dandelion in the picture) and spread! What "weeds" are you going to pull today? Thinking about using a coach? DM me. #theb3way #business #motivation
