Reimagine EMS Education

About us

Prodigy is different. It redefines the EMS online CE market by delivering on the long-anticipated promise of EMS online education that truly educates and inspires. Prodigy isn’t for everyone. It isn’t for those who simply want to check boxes. Instead, it’s for innovative and dynamic EMS organizations and individuals who want to stretch, improve, and make a real difference for the patients and communities they serve. It’s for people who care. Recognizing a considerable deficit in e-Learning targeting the pre-hospital setting, Pro EMS set out to create an in-house system for HIGH-QUALITY education, DELIVERY, and TRACKING. Seeing the value it could add to other EMS systems, Pro EMS decided to build a product for external use. After several internal iterations, Prodigy was launched in late 2016. Prodigy was created to guide the user easily through the recertification process, including state and deaprtment-specific training. EMS Training Officers are given full access to class records, eliminating surprises and ensuring full compliance with certification standards. The classes are created to engage the user through various mediums, including the use of real patient videos, actual patient care reports, and interactive polls.

New Prodigy Talk. We caught up with Shawn Baird on Capitol Hill recently. Shawn is Immediate Past President of the American Ambulance Association and also member of the Advisory Committee on Ground Ambulance and Patient Billing (GAPB) Shawn discussed the now published report, which is available via https://lnkd.in/dkmWPAZD which unanimously agreed that unique features of ground ambulance emergency medical services would require substantial modifications to current law to both protect consumers from balance billing and protect their access to emergency services. https://lnkd.in/gzvbutyw

I am thrilled to announce the creation of Six Minutes to Live, a movement to prevent needless deaths in sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). I stand along side my dear friends and public safety experts Robert Davis and Tom Bouthillet in this quest. Watch Bob testify today about the failures of Washington, D.C.'s 911 system at the D.C. City Council hearing: https://lnkd.in/gbFzfcqm Twenty years ago, the investigative series in USA TODAY by Bob Davis revealed deep disparities in survival rates from SCA. While many systems have improved, there is still the equivalent of a fully-loaded airliner vanishing mid-flight every day in America. No wreckage, no investigation, no effort to prevent it from happening again tomorrow. Just hundreds of deaths, day after day, accepted as inevitable. Tens of thousands die each year due to system failures, public apathy, and a status quo that accepts these tragedies as unavoidable. You've likely seen footage of sudden collapses at sporting events, like Damar Hamlin during Monday Night Football. But you may not realize the crucial role you can play in saving lives. #CPR #AED At Six Minutes to Live, we are working to stop this carnage by sharing information, exposing deadly gaps, and uniting people committed to saving lives. We welcome you and the tools you bring to make a difference. https://lnkd.in/gGNmchen #6Min2Live
