About us
Product of the Year is the world’s largest consumer-voted award for new product innovation. Product of the Year currently operates in 43 countries with the same purpose: Guide consumers to the most innovative new products of shelves. In the US, the Product of the Year seal is backed by the votes of 40,000 consumers. The award is a powerful integrated marketing program with a proven track record to increase new product trial, awareness, distribution and sales. Product of the Year accepts entries every year that demonstrate innovation and were launched within the previous year. Entered products are placed into specific categories with a single product voted a winner in its category through a nationally representative online study conducted by research partner TNS. Winning products are announced in February each year and receive the rights to use the Product of the Year seal across all product marketing materials for two years.
