  • Our PWN community mourns the loss of of one of our longtime members Dr. Karen O’Donnell, D.D.S., who passed away on September 2, 2024. Karen was a cherished member, known for her warmth, dedication, and unique spirit. As a longtime dentist and the visionary behind the South Suburban storytelling scene, she touched many lives through her work and creativity. She was the founder of Homewood Stories, a storytelling event that brought the community together for more than a decade, leaving behind a legacy of connection and joy. Karen’s passion for storytelling and the way she wove love into everything she did will be remembered fondly. A Memorial Mass for Karen will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church (formerly St. Joseph Church), located at 17951 Dixie Highway, Homewood, IL 60430.
