Last week, my friends on LinkedIn reminded me that it’s been 36 years since I started Profit Builders. I was humbled and grateful for every congratulatory message. It made me reflect on how it all started. Jumping into an unknown profession. Scraping by. Taking risks. Making sacrifices. Figuring it out as I went. Before coaching, I built a multi-million-dollar business. Successful, financially, but unfulfilled. So, I sold it. I took a leap toward what truly mattered: helping others build meaningful careers, and create the life they may never thought was possible. The early years? Making less than $30K a year; just paying the bills. It wasn’t easy. I ran into countless skeptics, and naysayers along the way. But I was happy. Doing the work aligned with my values and purpose. Looking back; hundreds of thousands coached in 76 countries, of conversations igniting positive change in people’s lives, of new, meaningful, caring relationships and friendships I have across the world. To everyone who reached out. Thank you. Remember, when people tell you that you can’t, they’re showing their limitations, not yours. Here’s to the next chapter. Hopefully, I’ve got another 36 years in me.

Forget about New Year resolutions. They can lead to self-imposed pressure. That's why New Years isn't just once a year - it's every day. Because every day you have a choice to make your life and the lives of the people around you better. So, happy New Day! May your new year be filled with health, love, joy, purpose, laughter and the things that matter most to you. Wonderful perspective on embracing the New Year, and every new day, from Dr. Seuss, my favorite coach. 🤗⭐🙏

One Sunday morning during the holidays, Angie, a ten year-old little girl, raced into the living room. Her dad was reading the paper. She held a small box, wrapped lovingly, topped with a bright red ribbon. “Daddy!” she exclaimed. “Here! I made this for you because I love you.” She handed him the gift, eyes alight with excitement. He smiled and opened it slowly, careful with every piece of wrapping. When he lifted the lid, the box was empty. Curious, he looked at Angie. “Sweetheart, there’s nothing in here. Don’t you know a gift is supposed to have something inside?” She beamed up at him. “Oh no, Daddy. It’s not empty. I blew kisses into it and filled it with hugs. That way, you’ll have my love whenever you need it.” Tears gathered in her father’s eyes. He wrapped his arms around her. He apologized for doubting her and thanked her over and over. “This is the best gift I’ve ever received,” he said, wiping, the tears from his eyes. “Every time I need your love, I’ll reach in and take a hug or a kiss. You’ve made me the happiest dad in the world.” He placed the box on his desk, a cherished reminder of his daughter’s boundless love. Each time he saw it, he remembered that just because you can’t see something, doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Precious moments in life aren’t always visible or measurable. Sometimes you can't touch or physically see these treasures. They’re in the quiet gestures and the unseen tokens of care we share with those we care for and love. The best gifts come wrapped in the intangible: hope, warmth, faith, love, support. They don’t have to be measured in size or weight. They’re felt in the heart. Love exists in the spaces we can’t see, but always feel. Angie's empty box reminds us that even when something looks empty, it can be overflowing with these things that we all want and need most. Cherish those everyday gifts; unspoken kindnesses, gentle smiles, unwavering support, and keep them close. In the present moment, we find the true treasures of life, ready to be embraced and shared. Wishing you and your family a holiday filled with love, peace, health, happiness, and presence. 🙏😊

The Secret to Creating a Self-Motivated Team. FACT: Only 15% of employees globally feel motivated and engaged. Managers struggle keeping their team motivated because they only focus on WHAT the person WANTS not WHO they want to BE. To create a self-motivated team👉 Coach Their VALUES, not their GOALS or RESULTS. 🏆 ✅ Focus on helping people identify their values and WHO they are when they're at their best. (Collaborative, happy, productive, healthy, delivering value, honoring their purpose, etc.) ✅ Then align them around their performance goals. ⭐ This keeps people intrinsically motivated, rather than pushing them to perform or offering any short-term extrinsic motivational tool or incentive you can provide. #salesmanagement #selling #coaching #motivation

SURVEY Many people would admit they're terrible at living in the present. Since companies are result and quota-driven, we're always focused on the future and what's next, at the cost of what's NOW, which is where patience, care, coaching, listening and more sales happen. So does your life. #bepresent #whatdoyouthink

“But isn’t this important to you, Dear Prospect? 👉“NO.” Don't sell the way you buy. Your buying process isn’t your prospect’s. Adapt your approach to align how your prospects like to buy, not how you like to sell. Here are 10 costly implications when salespeople sell the way they buy. You can’t "put yourself in their shoes" unless you truly know what’s important to them. 1. Personal biases: Assuming prospects make decisions like you leads to faulty assumptions and missed sales. 2. Varied buying styles: Every buyer has their own unique process, and one size doesn't fit all. 3. Overcomplicating sales: You could lose impulsive buyers by overloading them with unnecessary information. 4. Missed opportunities: Selling based on your preferences may alienate customers who want different approaches. 5. Increased objections: Your personal values and beliefs might clash with those of your prospects, leading to more pushback. 6. Unnecessary confusion: Over-explaining or offering too many options can overwhelm customers. 7. Emotional misalignment: A prospect’s emotional triggers might differ from your own, resulting in disconnect. 8. Lower closing rates: Assuming your decision-making process aligns with theirs often results in fewer closed deals. 9. Lost trust: When you impose your values on a prospect, they may feel misunderstood and pull away. 10. Tailored approach: Success comes from adapting your sales approach to each prospect’s unique needs and preferences.
