We successfully managed the direct discharge of a large transformer at the Port of Houston. The full transport of the transformer had to be managed as Hurricane Beryl hit Texas. Despite the power outage that affected the region due to the destructive hurricane, our team demonstrated its capability to handle time-sensitive projects. The transformer, weighing 113,400 kilograms and measuring 10.50 meters in length, 4.05 meters in width, and 4.10 meters in height, required careful coordination for its safe discharge. We received the transformer before the hurricane and managed the rest of the operation during the week Hurricane Beryl hit the region. This was particularly challenging due to the power and internet outage, which forced us to work from our cars to avoid delays. Our team orchestrated the direct discharge from the vessel to a waiting truck, ensuring an efficient transfer of the 174.40 cubic meter unit. The fact that full transport was implemented in the course of Hurricane Beryl truly highlights our expertise in managing oversized and critical cargo, even under extremely challenging conditions. #transformer #projectone #hurricanberyl #overcomingchallenges
