What an amazing interview Jessica Rodriguez Hernandez did with the talented Camila Fernández ! It’s been an honor to have two strong leaders like Consuelo Poland Lockhart and Jessica Rodriguez Hernandez Rodriguez working together to merge Latinas Welding Guild Inc Welding Guild with Project Azul. We wanted to take a moment to highlight what an amazing leader Jessica is, since she stepped down as LWG’s Board President and into a LWG Deputy Director role in January 2023 - she has poured all of herself into her role. She’s not only helped restructure the organization but also expanded our team by 300%… and even pursued the merge of Project Azul and LWG. Which we’re so thankful to have Consuelo and Jessica leading PA now too! She works with such integrity, devotion, and heart. It’s truly such an honor to have this amazing Latina on our team and we so proud of her leading us! With these two powerhouses under one roof, we are now able to: 1️⃣ - Expand the Guild's programming to serve any underemployed or unemployed adults who want to jump into the #welding industry! 2️⃣ - Expand the Guild's programming to serve youth who want to explore the welding industry, learn a #trade, and have a safe space to grow with likeminded students. 3️⃣ - Offer students multiple certifications through Project Azul that could help them secure higher paying jobs, #leadership roles, and stand out in a crowd of resumes! 4️⃣ - Expand our custom #fabrication arm and offer apprenticeship/job opportunities for our graduates. 5️⃣ - The representation of our #diverse team and board is truly magical. We look like the people we serve. Our personal experiace helps us provide solutions for #barriers for our students and grow diverse talent pipeline for our #employer partners.
