We are pleased to announce that ProjectQRSargasso will be joining the National Small Business Association as part of a new effort to reach stakeholders in Washington, D.C. As Climate Week 2024 commences, the need for low-carbon agriculture and cheap renewable fuel affects all Americans. Rooting for the little guy is what the NSBA has done since 1937 and we are excited to navigate the nationwide clean energy mandates with a strong champion of small businesses. #sargassum #fertilizer #hydrogen #macroalgae #inflationreductionact #greenenergy #smallbusinesses #corporatetransparencyact #legislation

A Blue-Carbon company converting Caribbean sargassum fluitans into fertilizer, marine seabed substrate, and hydrogen gas
About us
As of August 2022, there were 24 million tons of Caribbean sargassum fluitans covering the Caribbean Ocean from Mexico to Brazil. The sargassum blocks underwater seabeds from receiving sunlight and nutrients and kills marine life during decomposition. Sargassum blooms increase every year with warming oceans and offshore nutrient discharges. ProjectQRSargasso will process decomposing sargassum as a feedstock for sustainable fertilizer, biogas, and solid-state hydrogen gas. In environmental engineering processes, waste from one industrial process can serve as useful input for another process. Our circular economy technology captures greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere during sargassum decomposition and diverts this for energy sector decarbonization.

Meet the amazing interdisciplinary STEM voices behind ProjectQRSargasso! From great minds at General Electric to University at Albany and more, it's clear that navigating this new age of clean energy and hydrogen will need open-minded collaboration from all parts of society. Hopefully one day we can have more female representation on our R&D side as well! 😊 #merrychristmas #happyholidays #letslowerthecostofenergy
