About us

Prologue functions as a collective of designers, filmmakers and artists. It is a body with many parts, each performing a unique function, and each supporting the whole. We encourage, challenge and sharpen one another in an effort to create work that is both communicative and inspirational. It is an approach toward design that has been tested and proven over the years, but we remain open to new ideas, methodologies and perspectives. We are proud of our accomplishments, but not content. We especially value our collaborative relationships with our client partners. We strive to support them creatively and help them tell their stories. We believe that when talented individuals work in concert with patience and passion great work is the result. Prologue provides clients with entertainment services, namely, the design and production of special effects including computer generated imagery and graphics for the production of motion pictures and television including visual effects, opening credit sequences, movie and show titles, videos, and trailers. In addition, Prologue provides entertainment media production and post production services for motion pictures, television, Internet, video games, short films and documentaries. Prologue produces feature films, short films and documentaries.

Throughout October, we've been sharing our favorite horror projects from 1994-2024 on Instagram to get into the Halloween spirit. Today we're reminiscing about American Horror Story. In 2011, Ryan Murphy approached Kyle Cooper about making the very first title sequence for season one: Murder House. Since then Prologue created the title sequences for Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Cult, Apocalypse, 1984, Red Tide, Death Valley, NYC, and Delicate. If you have ever wanted to see all the American Horror Story title sequences in one place today is your lucky day! Kyle also unpacked each title sequence in an interview with Lana Thorn for Phantasmag. If you're interested in reading a detailed analysis of each sequence check out the link below: https://lnkd.in/gHwX8iVA
