Since day one, we’ve partnered with local groups like Rescuing Leftover Cuisine to help eliminate food waste and support our community. One story is with Project Rousseau, an educational nonprofit in NYC. By donating these meals, their students can pursue their education goals and provide food security to their families ❤️ #community #giveback #donate

    A little over 10 years ago, Howard Bloom and I had this crazy dream to start a business together that would change the way people eat on the go. We got lucky enough to connect with Chef Juan Muñoz and he brought our vision to life, with food even better than we'd imagined, and made Proper Food his baby too. Along the way, so many wonderful people, including Laura, Rosario, Anthony, Jaclyn, Heidi, Kat, Sharvani and so many more jumped in and poured their hearts into Proper. It's incredible how our team members bring energy and enthusiasm every day. Whether it's SF, NYC or SFO airport, our store teams somehow manage to always make it feel the same as that first day. And our kitchen teams take so much pride in ensuring each meal looks and tastes exactly as it should. It has not been easy. I'm proud of our team for fighting tooth & nail to keep Proper alive through the pandemic, spending 3 years building back, and smashing through to hit record high sales last year. I'm also super proud of the community impact we've had through our daily food donations, thanks to our partnerships with Food Runners in SF and Rescuing Leftover Cuisine in NYC. Now, as we celebrate our 10 year anniversary of our first store opening, we have a massive opportunity to innovate grab-and-go across the country (and eventually the globe) and to do it in a sustainable, mission-driven way. A huge thank you to everyone who has worked with Proper, eaten Proper, invested in Proper and partnered with Proper. Cheers to the past ten years and here's to an even better Decade #2!
