We Automated Transactional Emails for a Custom POS System When an eCommerce website for collectibles came to us, they had a challenge: They needed to notify customers whenever their order status changed. But their setup— a custom POS system and Constant Contact—wasn't designed for individual transactional emails. Customers had to log into the site to check order statuses manually, creating frustration and inefficiencies. The Challenge: Customers often placed multiple orders quickly, but Constant Contact only allowed one custom message per email address at a time. Notifications were nonexistent—no automation to notify customers when their order status changed. Our Solution: Using tools like Make, Constant Contact, SharePoint, and their custom POS, we designed an automated process: ✅ Built automation scenarios to trigger every 15 minutes, ensuring timely updates. ✅ Sent notifications individually for each order to avoid batching confusion. ✅ Handled concurrent updates seamlessly, no matter how many orders were placed. The Results: 🚀 Customers now receive real-time status updates every 15 minutes. 🚀 Each order gets its own notification—no manual checking needed. 🚀 The client avoided costly POS upgrades or new feature developments.
