As health care shifts from hospitals to clinics, the role of ambulatory nurse leaders is expanding. A recent study of nurse leaders in 22 medical groups across seven states highlights their unique ability to drive change, ensure quality and influence decision-making in ambulatory care. To succeed, these leaders must develop skills in change management, inspirational leadership and business insight. Ambulatory nurse leaders have a crucial role in advocating for nursing practice and transforming health care through genuine connections and relationships. ▶️ Learn more: http://ms.spr.ly/6044m4umC #NurseLeadership #AmbulatoryCare #HealthcareTransformation
About us
Every day, 119,000 compassionate caregivers serve patients and communities through Providence St. Joseph Health, a national, Catholic, not-for-profit health system, driven by a belief that health is a human right. Rooted in the founding missions of the Sisters of Providence and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, courageous women ahead of their time who brought health care and other social services to the American West when it was still a rugged, untamed frontier, we share a singular commitment to improve the health of all. From our earliest days, we’ve met new challenges by pioneering new solutions. Today, with 51 hospitals, 829 clinics and a comprehensive range of services, we strive to meet the needs of communities across Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas and Washington through a diverse family of Catholic, other faith-based and mission-driven secular organizations. Now, as we face a new frontier—a changing health care landscape—we draw upon their pioneering and compassionate spirit to plan for the next century of health for a better world, especially for the poor and vulnerable. If you need treatment, please visit www.providence.org to locate a health care provider.

We're committed to protecting our planet and promoting environmental stewardship. The Providence Center for Environmental Stewardship is a virtual platform that serves as a central site to share many aspects of our Environmental Stewardship initiative, including our three pillars -- WE ACT (mitigation), We REACH (adaptation & resilience) and We SHARE (advocacy & leadership). In service of helping to advance decarbonization, resilience and environmental justice in health care, we hope that sharing our learnings will help other health organizations to make progress in their own environmental stewardship goals. Providence’s commitment to pioneering innovative research and world-class cardiac care has reached new heights, thanks to the generosity of donors. We are proud to announce the Howard “H” White Center for Cardiac Amyloidosis at Providence Heart Institute. This new center marks a significant advancement in our efforts to provide world-class heart care, fueled by the vision and generosity of Howard “H” White. Howard “H” White, the mastermind behind the famous Jordan Brand (Nike, Inc.) and a trusted advisor to Michael Jordan, turned his personal battle with cardiac amyloidosis into a philanthropic endeavor. After receiving a life-saving heart transplant from our team, Howard is now advocating for early detection and treatment of this under diagnosed and progressive disease, which disproportionately affects the Black community. Michael Jordan joined this effort by making a $1 million donation, alongside contributions from other high-profile supporters like Chris Tucker, Ludacris, and leaders from NIKE Inc. Their collective support will drive innovative approaches, including the use of artificial intelligence, to achieve earlier diagnosis and better health outcomes. Howard White encapsulates our shared vision: "Believing in the impossible obliges us to help others. This new center will not only save lives but prevent others from needing heart transplants like I did." Together, we are setting new standards in heart care.
