After 12 years of processing upwards of a billion dollars of payments to our vendors, Accounts Payable Specialist Sheila Bryant is retiring from PS Logistics company TBS. Her last day with us was Friday August 30th, when we held an Open House Celebration in her honor. There were stories told, memories shared, and most of all, hard work appreciated. PS Logistics has grown exponentially in Sheila's time here, and her reliability and industry knowledge were foundational in making that growth as smooth as possible from an accounts payable perspective. "Happy Retirement to TBS A/P Specialist Sheila B! Thanks for all that you've done for PS Logistics and best wishes for this next chapter of your life!" - Connie S., AP Manager Thank you for everything, Sheila, and happy retirement! It is well deserved.

Did you know we now have a Specialized Division? When we partnered with Rinaudo Enterprises last year, we established a segment to service new and existing customers in the infrastructure, construction, agriculture, and forestry end markets. Part of providing top-tier customer service is making sure our drivers have the equipment needed to support this sector. Rinaudo driver Charles T. is pictured here behind the wheel of a new specialized Freightliner equipped with Mirror Eye technology. The P&S Specialized Division is committed to safe, timely delivery of oversized and overweight equipment and unique freight. For more information, please call 205-788-4000.

Congratulations to our own Harold Smith for being named to the Alabama Trucking Association Board of Directors. As Group President of DMT Trucking, LLC, SEL Transportation, and Shelton Trucking LLC, Harold shares his industry experience, expertise, and servant leadership with us every day. He will bring that same perspective, patience, and work ethic to the ATA Board and we are excited to see what they'll accomplish in the coming year. Congratulations to Harold Smith and the 2024-2025 Alabama Trucking Association Board of Directors!
We're proud to introduce another new ATA board member this week: Harold Smith, Group President of DMT Trucking, LLC, SEL Transportation and Shelton Trucking LLC. A proud alumnus of Auburn University, he began his career in the fleet safety departments of Boyd Bros. Transportation and the former Deaton, Inc. Subsequently, he joined the ATA Comp Fund as a safety engineer, while pursuing his law degree in the evenings. He successfully passed the bar examination following his graduation in 2007. After dedicating over a decade to the fund, in 2013, he transitioned to Montgomery Transport, assuming the role of Executive Vice President and General Counsel. In 2020, he undertook his current role at DMT. Outside his professional life, he places his family and colleagues' well-being at the top of his list. Together with his wife, Teresa, they are members of the St. Simon Peter Episcopal Church community in Pell City, Ala.

As our summer interns wrap up their time with us, we want to showcase this phenomenal group and all they have accomplished. They have had an immersive experience over the last eight weeks ranging from load planning, dispatch, maintenance logs, reviewing dashcam footage for correctional purposes, and CSA reporting. We also enjoyed an intern in our IT department who aided in helpdesk tickets, and another within our marketing department who made her directorial debut on a number of videos. The highlight of the summer for us was when the interns blew us away with their Power BI group project presentations. The way they took real operational data from across the PSL network, analyzed it, and presented conclusions was truly impressive. We are very proud of the impact this group has made during their time with us and are grateful to have played a part in their young professional careers. Thanks for everything, interns. Your futures are bright!

The Birmingham Corporate Challenge kicks off tonight with Trivia at Cahaba Brewing Company from 5-8pm. Our roster is locked in for players, but we'd love for any and all of our #PSFam to come out and support over the next few days as we take on fellow Birmingham businesses in events ranging from dodgeball to mini golf! If you want to see your coworkers or family members in action, here's where you can catch them this week. These events are all family friendly. #CorpChallenge

Welcome, interns! The summer intern class has been busy with orientation in Birmingham this week. Interns from all PSL companies come together for a week to network, see HQ, learn about the history of PS Logistics, and interface with company leadership. One night we even took them TopGolfing with the C Suite! Over the next few days, the interns will get their assignments for a real-world-applicable Power BI group project they will complete this summer. It's going to be a busy summer, but we are looking forward to teaching these students about transportation and logistics. It is our great honor to prepare our interns for life after college. Let's go, interns!
