🧭 Navigating a Potential U.S. East and Gulf Coast Port Strike 🚢 With the September 30 deadline approaching for contract talks between the International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) and the United States Maritime Alliance, Ltd. (USMX), many in the industry are apprehensive about the uncertainty on the horizon. Both parties are at a standstill, and a strike could significantly disrupt U.S. supply chains, impacting everything from consumer products to critical imports. Click here for recent news: https://lnkd.in/gmyV_nSC 💵 Sea-Intelligence Maritime Analysis calculates that for every 1 day of a strike, the network would require 4 to 5 days of “clean up” to get back to normal conditions. If there were a one-week strike on October 1, issues with congestion would potentially persist until mid-November. A potential two-week strike would create congestion issues lasting until the new year and cost millions. 🔍 We continue to keep our customers apprised of the latest developments, contingency plans, and alternative solutions to mitigate potential risks. While this is a U.S. event, we recognize the far-reaching global impact a strike of this magnitude could have, and PSA BDP is ready to assist customers during this time of uncertainty. Congratulations to the Class of 2024! 🎓 Last week, 22 colleagues from across the globe graduated from our Global Development Program (GDP) in Philadelphia. This milestone marks the culmination of a leadership development journey that began in March with a kickoff event in Antwerp.   💡Over the past months, they developed their leadership skills, tackled challenges, and shared innovative solutions, all while building lasting connections. During the final week, the graduates presented their Capstone projects to senior leadership, with some present in the room while others attended virtually. These presentations showcased the hard work, creativity, and strategic thinking that defined their journey.   💙 In addition to their presentations, the graduates gave back to the community by creating cards for Cardz For Kidz, an organization dedicated to uplifting spirits across the globe by delivering inspiring handmade cards. This activity further demonstrates the GDP's commitment to making a positive impact and supporting PSA BDP Cares.   They also found time to bond, play, be there, and strengthen connections, reinforcing the spirit of teamwork and collaboration. 🫶   As they graduate, these GDP leaders will continue to guide and mentor Manager Development Program participants, sharing their insights and experiences to support the next generation of leaders.   Congratulations to the GDP Class of 2024 for an incredible journey! 👏
