We're thrilled to announce that Jack Chambers TD, Minister for Finance will deliver the Afternoon Keynote at this year's Public Sector Women in Leadership Conference. Jack Chambers is the Fianna Fáil TD for Dublin West. He is the Minister for Finance in the Government of Ireland and Deputy Leader of Fianna Fáil. He previously served in Government as at the Government Chief Whip and was also Minister of State for Sport, the Gaeltacht & Defence from 2020 to 2022 and as Minister of State, attending Cabinet, in the Department of Transport and the Department of the Environment, Climate & Communications from 2022 to 2024. He was elected to Dáil Éireann on his first attempt in the February 2016 General Election and was re-elected in the 2020 General Election. Before entering the Dáil, he served as a Fingal County Councillor and as Deputy Mayor. Born in Galway, Jack moved to Dublin West at a young age and is involved with many local community groups and sports organisations. She is a TED.com speaker, having been published on the Global TED platform in 2022 with her popular talk on Mindset & Perspective Swaps. Breda Co-Founded and Co-Leads the Lean-In-Ireland organisation. Lean-In is an international organisation, founded by Sheryl Sandberg Former COO of Facebook in the United States. As part of the roll out of Lean-In-Ireland, Breda has successfully created a number of peer mentoring networks across large corporates, industries and a variety of communities for women in the workplace. Having also worked in CEO-2 positions across Global Financial Services for almost 24 years, Breda has driven and overseen extensive critical Transformation programmes across a number of International banking brands, working hybrid with teams all over the world since 2009. She was also once ‘Lieutenant McCague’ as she spent 20 years in the Reserve Defence Forces having been the first female to be commissioned as an Officer in her unit. She commanded Platoons and Company of soldiers for many years, learning to Motivate, Inspire and Lead her People. She is now often requested to deliver talks for companies and conferences on applying Agile, Growth Mindsets, Teamwork, Transformation, Leadership and Communication Brilliance amongst other topics. She plays music with two bands, one Rock, and one traditional. Mairead McGuinness is the European Commissioner for Financial Services, Financial Stability and Capital Markets Union. The Commissioner’s vision for the portfolio is focused on ensuring the financial sector’s strength and stability, so that it can deliver for people, society and the environment. Before joining the Commission in October 2020, Ms McGuinness was First Vice-President of the European Parliament. She served as an MEP from Ireland for 16 years and was a Vice-President of the Parliament since 2014. As Vice-President, she oversaw relations with national Parliaments, led the Parliament’s dialogue with religious and philosophical organisations, and had responsibility for the Parliament’s communication policy.
