PHMC is serving as a fiscal intermediary for the administration of the AVCPGP grants, working as a conduit between the city and the nonprofit and community groups. “Violence in our city, and particularly gun violence, is a public health crisis that affects all of us. But it disproportionately harms communities of color and those experiencing poverty, housing insecurity, and inadequate access to quality health care,” said Mike Pearson, PHMC President and CEO, yesterday during the event.
