About us
PPL is the leading service provider for self-directed care programs. We enable members of Medicaid and other government-funded programs to choose their care providers and get care at home. We work with 20 states in 50 programs providing services to support more than 500,000 participant and caregiver relationships. PPL is an essential element of the program administration. We educate Medicaid members about their self-direction options, enroll them in the program, and get their providers enrolled. We then enable them with our proprietary technology to track their care time and get their providers paid. In simple terms, we facilitate the program’s key administrative and financial processes. We're here to ensure self-directed care is more than an option—it's a practical, everyday choice that’s simply better.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Brenda, a Support Broker at PPL! Proud of her Peruvian and Dominican roots, she shares how being bilingual has opened doors for her by volunteering and cultural bridging. Her ability to switch between the two languages and emphasize continuous learning has motivated her to help meet participants where they are and with whichever language they need. ¡Hola! It's Hispanic Heritage Month, and we're looking at healthcare inequity experienced by this vibrant community. Did you know that Hispanic people are over three times as likely to be uninsured compared to non-Hispanic whites? Or that despite facing significant barriers, the Hispanic community exhibits some surprisingly positive health outcomes—a phenomenon known as the "Hispanic Paradox"? Our Chief Growth & Strategy Officer Maria Perrin's latest blog post explores: • The extent of the problem • Why these disparities exist • The outsize effect of COVID-19 on Hispanic health • How we can get better Join the conversation, share your thoughts, and make a change. https://lnkd.in/ei--aStm #HispanicHeritageMonth #HealthcareEquity #HealthDisparities #HispanicHealth #SocialJustice
