Following the acclaimed US premiere at the New York Film Festival, we are thrilled to announce Pavements is having its UK Premiere at the London Film Festival today! This innovative documentary-musical hybrid surveys the emblematic 1990s US indie rock band in typically idiosyncratic style: part-documentary, part-biopic, part-stage musical – but all Pavement. With three unmissable screenings at the BFI, join us for a wild ride through the band's rise, their cult status, and a movie-within-a-movie featuring an all-star cast, including Jason Schwartzman, Joe Keery, and Fred Hechinger.

Excited to share that Pavements has its US Premiere at NYFF today!  This innovative documentary-musical hybrid exploring the legendary 90s indie band Pavement in a nonlinear, absurdist approach, shows little patience for hagiography—or any other orthodoxy. This rule-breaking sorta-documentary is fueled by a sardonic, tricky sense of humor reminiscent of Pavement’s caustic, idiosyncratic music.  Join us for a wild ride through the band's rise, their cult status, and a movie-within-a-movie featuring an all-star cast, including Jason Schwartzman, Joe Keery, and Fred Hechinger. Catch the premiere on October 2, with an exclusive Q&A featuring director Alex Ross Perry, editor Robert Greene, the band’s Stephen Malkmus, and co-star Michael Esper. Pavement legends Scott Kannberg, Mark Ibold, Steve West, Bob Nastanovich, and more will be there in person! Plus, don’t miss: 📅 Oct 3 – Free Talk w/ Alex Ross Perry & Andrei Ujică 📅 Oct 4 – Intro w/ Alex Ross Perry before the screening
