Leaders in Supplier Compliance

About us

Although our name has changed, our goal has remained the same: To provide Total Supply Solutions for our clients. In 1988, Pittsburgh Purchasing Services, Inc. was formed to serve the needs of purchasing professionals in the greater Pittsburgh area. Since then, we have delivered purchasing services to, and developed strong relationships with, a wide range of clients around the world. As a result, in 1999, we changed our name to Purchasing Services Co. (PSC) to recognize our global market. Our staff includes professionals with experience in Purchasing and other related fields, complemented by a highly trained support team. This enables us to provide complete strategic supplier management. PSC's supplier evaluation system identifies and tracks supplier data that provides an objective analysis allowing informed decision making. We gather and evaluate supplier accident and injury statistics, Insurance Certificates, Prime/Subcontractor relationships, Legal Citizen Status, and etc. Gain instant access to a fully-developed high performance supplier evaluation and tracking system that is based upon the specific criteria as defined by your requirements, without the cost of internal programming. The PSC supplier evaluation system identifies your supply base and profiles, as well as results of the various parameters which have been analyzed. We have developed strategic alliances with many companies, ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies. PurchasePro(tm), our custom internally developed purchasing software package, was written to perform all of the purchasing functions. This software is paperless and maintains the complete purchasing audit trail on-line. Customizable reporting features are available to give clients the information they need to manage their business. Our clients' needs and concerns are always our top priority. All of PSC's support services are tailored to our clients' requirements.

  • As autumn begins, it’s important to focus on safety as the seasons change. A new season brings new risks.   If you use a fireplace or space heaters, get them inspected before they’re truly needed. Ensure your chimney is clean to avoid fire hazards, and replace the batteries in your smoke alarms as indoor heating becomes common.   Clear your gutters of leaves and debris to prevent water buildup and potential home damage when fall rains start. www.ps-c.com #PSC #SupplierCompliance #Purchasing #FallCleaning

  • Your safety is worth more than any distraction. Whether you’re on the road, at work, or handling daily tasks, stay focused and keep distractions at bay. Let's protect ourselves and others by making safety our top priority. Stay committed to these 10 simple practices, and you'll find it easier to stay focused and productive. 1. Set Clear Goals: Know what you need to accomplish and break tasks into manageable steps. 2. Create a Dedicated Space: Set up a clutter-free area just for work or important tasks. 3. Turn Off Notifications: Silence your phone and computer alerts to minimize interruptions. 4. Use Time Blocks: Work in focused intervals (like the Pomodoro Technique) and take short breaks in between. 5. Limit Multitasking: Focus on one task at a time to avoid spreading your attention too thin. 6. Avoid Social Media: Log out or use apps that block access during work hours. 7. Practice Mindfulness: Stay present by practicing mindfulness or deep breathing exercises. 8. Set Boundaries: Let others know when you need uninterrupted time to concentrate. 9. Prioritize Tasks: Focus on the most important tasks first, when your energy and attention are highest. 10. Review & Adjust: Regularly assess your environment and habits to see what’s working and what needs to change. Distractions can wait—safety can't. www.ps-c.com #PSC #SupplierCompliance #purchasing #distraction #safetyfirst

  • On this day, we remember the lives lost and the heroes who emerged from the darkness of September 11th, 2001. It's a time for reflection, unity, and honoring the resilience of a nation that stood strong in the face of tragedy. We will never forget the courage, the sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of those who came together in the aftermath. Today, we honor their memory and hold their stories in our hearts. #NeverForget #September11

  • As kids head back to school, let's keep safety top of mind! Here are a few quick reminders:   ·        Traffic Awareness: Be mindful of children walking or biking to school, slow down in school zones, and remember that school buses make frequent stops. ·        Safe Backpacks: Ensure children have appropriately sized backpacks and aren’t carrying too much weight—it should weigh less than 10-15% of their body weight. ·        Personal Safety for Kids: Teach kids about safe routes to school, stranger danger, and the importance of paying attention to their surroundings. ·        Prepare for Shorter Days: As the days get shorter, ensure you have proper lighting on outdoor walkways and consider reflective gear or lights if walking or biking after dark.   Let's work together to keep our kids safe and make this school year the best yet! www.ps-c.com #PSC #SupplierCompliance #Purchasing #Back2School #Safety
